I added a stove jack to the inside part of my tent. It works out really well. The size and weight of this tent with this Frontier stove is probably only gonna work in most cases for roadside camping you can drive to. It would definitely be feasible to take it on a fly in or float Alaska hunt. One could swap out the steel stakes for aluminum to save some weight and there are much lighter stoves. I like this stove but thought I could also swap out the stove pipe for a titanium to save weight when needed.

Awesome. Thanks for the update. Im gonna look into doing that same thing. I like your setup. I might try it out first how it is. I need to purchase the fire/spark roof pannel for it still. For some reason Cabelas doesnt offer it online anymore. Thanks for the vid. I took mine out last year for the first time hunting. rained for a week and got below freezing twice. tent did awesome. I used a buddy heater (smaller one) and it did ok, but definitely need more heat. We got a caribou and a moose....good times.

Wow!! Getting a moose one day is one of my top priorities. My wife thought I was crazy to drive 10 hours this weekend for a one night stay in the tent for some video closure :)

great video, im not sure if i want the 12x16 or 10x10, not sure if the 10x10 can fit 3 ppl comfortable

I was curious, maybe I missed it in the video and if I did I apologize, I was wondering what size instinct outfitter tent this was. I’ve looked at them many times and I see they have a 10x10 and a 12x16.

can u tell me how and where you purchased the inner stove jack? Also, have you heard of any leaking thru the zipper of rain fly jack. thx, Dave

I ordered the stove jack on a website. I just googled tent stove jack. It was pretty high. Like 75 dollars. I got the cheapest one I could find. It's like 12"x12" of the silicone. Then I ordered 70d tent fabric on amazon. I think it was just one yard and it comes like 60" wide. A local embroidery shop charged me $40 to sewn it in replacing the netted layer in the top of the tent. So I can still zip the inner liner of the tent over it.

Just curious did this tent come with a stove jack and what not ? Or did you just add one for extra coverage ?

It had a stove jack when new but only in the outer fly. The whole roof section opened in the inner fly for the stove pipe. I had one installed in the inner fly

I meant i had one installed on the flap on the inner tent.

Yeah. I bought the tent material and the stove jack separate on amazon and had an upholstery guy sew it up. Replaced the mesh layer with it

Hey liked the vidio was curios how tent has worked out for you since vidio. I also cannot find any more on this outfitter tent . Really interested in tent just lot of money to invest in something with little reviews. If you have any updated vidios that would be assume. Also more info on inside stove jack thanks.

Alex Arneson I’ve had it up a few times since. There may be a clip of it on my elk hunt this year. I had an antigravity chair and table and air mattress in it. It was very cozy. It got down to about 22 every night. I took a real big pot and filled it with rocks and put on stove to keep heat. I also bought some of those 3 hour burn logs and they fit perfect after you have a fire going. I bought a good CO monitor too. Just in case with my kiddos. It’s never read very high even when smoky when first starting it. I’m finally taking it to Alaska this fall. I may buy a light weight titanium stove. With clothing and sleeping bags and such the stove isn’t needed for heat. But it’s very nice to be able to dry stuff out. I ordered a stove jack online. Can just search that. And i ordered a yard of 70d nylon. A local upholstery shop charged 30 bucks to sew it in. It’s an absolute necessity if using a stove.
