Red Dead Redemption 2 Characters Evolution Over Time From 1899 to 1907
Red Dead Redemption 2 is a western-themed action-adventure video game developed and published by Rockstar Games. Set in a fictional recreation of the American Old West in 1899, Red Dead Redemption 2 focuses on the life of Arthur Morgan and his position in the notorious Van der Linde gang. The game follows the gang's decline as they are pursued by lawmen, fellow gangs and Pinkerton agents. The narrative revolves around the characters of Dutch van der Linde, John Marston and Micah Bell in addition to Morgan.

The Van Horn post office worker isn't a vampire, people. He's albino. It's a real thing. Also, he's actually very upbeat and friendly.

@@WillyWankstain it's not mentioned explicitly to my knowledge, but he definitely is. If it was just the skin, it could be something else, but the white hair and pinkish eyes only occur when the body doesn't produce any melanin at all.

For anyone wondering why there are so many New Austin NPCs with 1899 models when you can't even go there before 1907: In the original script of the game, Arthur was supposed to have been to New Austin at some point in the story. Unfortunately, this was cut very late into the game's development as the developers thought it was going to make the game way too long and this might've hindered the story they wanted to tell.

I think the reason there’s character models for 1899 in armadillo and black water is because the Red dead online story takes place in 1898 because Sean and Jake Adler are alive.

Well. There is a different theory. That Arthur was able to travel to New Austin, although later Rockstar changed their mind. Arthur can sketch things in New Austin, has unique dialogue there, and is even able to complete the dinosaur bone quest with his own cutscene.

Seems like people who worked on RDR2 were overworked on this just to cut many good things in last year and put invisible sniper for Arthur. Chapter 0 would really fit really well if they really made story DLC with cut missions and reuse cut contents with Arthur. They did with bikes in GTA 4 into TLAD, they could do everything similarly with RDR2. Oh and expand the area north or west of New Austin.

I highly agree but there's some cut easter eggs in Rdr2 that are in out of bounds places, like the caveman that is stuck in the ice.

@@silentskull739 Caveman should be in the cave, according what's found by modder who tested it he's frozen on the lake where you can't reach it. Seems illogical because in cave can keep temperature forever because of cold temperature where lake can be melted due to seasons each year. But this all can be restored when they make Enhanced version. They did with cut contents in GTA 5 on PS4/XOne. I'd pay if they make Blackwater Massacre DLC chapter with Arthur where New Austin doesn't seem so deserted and boring unlike in first game. They did camp in New Austin as well, Hosea mentioned it in Chapter 3.

The fact that important armadillo and black water characters have younger models for the story mode shows how much content was cut before the final game’s release as yes it was confirmed by rockstar that Arthur was supposed to be able to go to new Austin and black water in earlier concepts of the game but I guess they changed their minds or they had to cut a large part of the early story to get the game to release on time this doesn’t negate how good the game is in my opinion but it shows they had plans to make it better

Damn shame about New Austin. Wouldve been a great introduction to RDR2 and a proper way to tug those RDR1 heartstrings. Plus it wouldve been awesome to see New Austin change over the years. Man I hope that RDR2 port adds in the missing chapters. whatta pipe dream

My hypothesis for the cut train workers dor new austin is that between Wallace station and riggs station the train would have conected to the new austin one with blackwater and manzanita post like the first game but was cut when aurthur not being able to go to new austin was cut. I always thought it was weird that there was such a small space between the 2 stations. But thats my guess

How are there two versions of the tumbleweed butcher if you only go there as John? Sounds like Arthur was meant to be there in development, but they decided to scrap it for some reason.

this has been confirmed ages ago Arthur also has his own drawings for all the POIs in new austin and dialogue for the missions you can start as Arthur but as of rn can only finish as John
