Nice comparison video. Sharpness looks cranked to max on Nano while the dynamic range on regular Polar is nice.

Nice comparison. While nano had lower video quality (as expected), the polar nano appears to have better overall colour clarity. The Caddx Polar seems to have a bit of golden/yellow tint to it's image. This does not appear in Polar Nano, or other DJI cameras. Any explanation for this? (ie: any comments from Caddx) While not as noticeable in low light situations, the golden hue reminds me of aged photos, and not really an effect I'd prefer. Would be nice if there was a option that naturalized the colour spectrum. (vs. needing to post process video)

Another good comparison video Gal. Does the Nano have the white balance issue like the Polar does? The Polar Nano seems to have sharper video than the Polar during the day but more grainy during the night. But I am looking forward to swapping out my Nebula Nano cameras.

Thank you :-) Well the Regular Polar has a much bigger lens than the Nano so it helps at night time. I will publish a full review within the next few days.

I’ve wondered about this for a while, nice to see a comparo. My 1st digi was AU/OG = pure awesome. 2nd Caddx/nebula nano = not so awesome. 3rd Caddx/polar nano which I thought way better than nebula nano of course but not quite the night performance I’d hoped for. 4th was Caddx/polar micro = super good at night but I thought the polar nano looked better in daylight. I thought maybe it was just me lol. Now I want another polar micro on a 5”(sold the other one) to fly at night w/3w light in pitch dark. Whole lotta fun!!

I got this. I just simple wanted a decent camera for my Stan fpv 360 drone. Works perfect. I am not as interested in taking video from the caddx system for presentation anyway. I just fly the insta 360 for that task. This seems to be a nice upgrade to the previous nano. .

caddx polar nano looks better compare to polar in day light....in the night time, polar much better....if you compare regular polar with nano, i would choose nano due to form factor despite the pro and cons of two camera

Hi Nuno. Check the vibrations of the drone and You can also try using an ND filter.

@@KremerFPV I might build a rekon6 using some spare parts. Was thinking trying a naked vista. I know most will say not worth the 12g saving on a 6" but I wanted to try. Unless I swap and do it on the rekon5 (sitting at 221 to 226g depending on straps)

Well, for me the polar nano was much sharper more details seen in the image but a bit of washout in the sky. What a lovely camera.

Slightly worse than Polar as expected, but a MASSIVE upgrade over the only other nano available for the system. Could you do direct comparison to Nebula Pro? I use Pros on all my micros because 4:3 was worth extra weight for me over Nebula Nano, but this is a serious weight reduction and I’m considering it…

U said weight and I just went to look. Yea wow. 2g for the camera. And flywoo has naked vista with polar nano weighing 14.8g together. That's pretty light. Considering my explorer vtx and camera is 10.5g .. then I have to run some camera like go or go2 or smo adding weight. I use dji footage all the time for just crap stuff.

@@divingfalconfpv4602 looks like the camera is actually 3g, typical Chinese false advertising. Naked Vista is 7.9g and cable is ~.4g so that means you can have the whole fpv system (and the rx too if using dji radio) at around 11.5g with a monopole or just over 12g with something like TrueRC Singularity Lite.

Another question. Can we adjust camera settings of Polar Nano via DJI goggles? If so, then I'll buy it and not wait for Nebula Pro anymore. I'll be fine with 60fps.

No. 120fps and camera settings are both features of the supply-constrained chip only found in Nebula Pro at the moment (and the “new” camera in “Caddx Air Unit Micro” kit which is just a repackaged Nebula Pro).

@@FilipRadelic I checked the dimension of the caddx air unit. It looks like it won't fit the frame I'm using. The caddx vista was only 2-3mm smaller than the space where I mounted it.

Nano have noticeably clearer picture in daylight and cloudy light, no doubt. Still 60 FPS, but during chip shortage it is Ok. What is more interesting, Caddx sell this camera in naked state with cooling case separately.

Flywoo actually sells this camera in the "naked" state. I think that it should be available soon from Caddx on its own after the Chinese holidays will be over.

Instead of doing the diagonal split, where the Nano sees a lot more sky and the Polar sees a lot more ground… would be better to divide the image into left/right halves.

Just noticed something else that was confusing. In the dual-split view (showing both full images at once), Polar is on left and Nano is on right. Then diagonal view Polar is on right and Nano is on left.

Interesting to see that the Polar Nano struggles in low light but amazing during the day. Can't have the best of both worlds I guess.

@@KremerFPV I think makes a Hybrid 2 I believe its called. Its 2 cameras. 1 for fpv and other is for your recording. It makes sense that the recording quality on its is much better not having to do soo much work with just 1 image. If that makes sense to you.

I'm hoping flywoo is right and it's 2g. That crazy light. Caddx doesn't list it yet but polar micro was 9g

@@divingfalconfpv4602 Albert Kim has a pic of it on a scale showing 3.4g on his Instagram. Cable is around .4g so that means camera is 50% heavier than advertised :(

I’ve waited a long time for a 14mm HD Nano cam that does 120fps and apparently I’ll just have to keep waiting!

It would’ve happened by now if it wasn’t for the shortage. Caddx already has a 14mm wide Nebula Pro pcb made for that “new” camera in “Caddx Air Unit Micro Kit”. Ok it’s 15mm tall, but I’m sure they could find another mm to shave.

The polar looks a lot better with tons of real detail. The nano isn't terrible but tries way to hard to compensate by applying tons of sharpening which makes the image look even worse.
