okay for all those screaming about how they had no chemistry and had "bad teamwork" NOT FIGHTING doesn't always mean good teamwork. Did they understand the assignment? Yes! Did they deliver REGARDLESS of the roadblocks they dealt with? YES! THAT is teamwork! Have y'all ever worked as a group with anyone at all? Being a team is not about being flawless, it's about working together to bring the best possible outcome. Which they did. They slayed the choreo, stage presence, and everything in between and won deservingly. They were being judged based on their performance NOT on their behind-the-scenes argument. As for the "Ice cream" Team while I commend Da Yeon and her talents and skills, she was being relied on for EVERYTHING and that is NOT teamwork when Salute had FIVE people working on the choreography. Stop using this as a reason to act as if Cai Bing is talentless and to hate on the group because Ice Cream Team didn't win. You are being salty and it shows.

I have to agree that “they were judged based on their performance not on their behind-the-scenes argument”. Personally I could not choose either Ice Cream or Salute, therefore I have no problem towards any winner. But I’m kinda sick with the “Ice Cream deserves to win because Dayeon leads the team very well”-like I understand if you want to say that they deserve to win because of their enjoyable performances and all but talking about the “process” isn’t going to do anything in this context. And some of them even whined under Salute’s video, it shows how they could not accept the fact that people can have different preference. Yeah I get it that you are disappointed and I’m also worried about Dayeon’s ranking, but then please go to Ice Cream’s video and leave compliments and encouragement so that they would not feel discouraged for the loss.

I feel super bad for Cai Bing. She's already too old for debut, so at this point she's just desperate to prove herself that she fits to debut. There's also the language barrier which makes it harder for her to express her feelings. When Cai Bing started crying during the killing part issue, I felt that. People say it's her being manipulative, but if you've ever led a team and everyone is expecting a lot from said team you're bound to cry. It's a human thing, not manipulative. Plus Cai Bing barely had screentime during the performance despite being center. No wonder she wanted to keep the killing part. This felt like PD48 where Lee Sian was center but Jang Wonyoung and Lee Gaeun got more killing parts than she did.

Sooo... Has NOBODY that's judging Cai Bing ever worked on a group project? More so, have they never been the leader or the team member with the most responsibilities? It's SO hard when you're placed in that position. Groups struggle to organize themselves when everyone in charge is already a part of the group. There's no outside perspective to supervise everyone and everything and make changes where needed. Because of this, communication is key. And if you fail to relay information to the other group members (whether it be forgetting to do so, neglecting to do so, not being able to do so because of a language barrier, etc.), then there are going to be serious repercussions. It basically looks like she was made the leader based on praise and not merit. Being good at something doesn't make you a good leader. Look at my senior year cross country team captains. There were five and it was all a popularity contest (I wasn't one of the five). Three of them skipped half of the practices, one showed up and just sat around most of the time, and only one of them did the job that they were supposed to. It was so bad that the coach asked me to be an honorary captain for the JV runners because the one captain who was doing his job couldn't handle the entire team by himself. They just saw Cai Bing as the one who knew what they were doing the most and figured that they'd be able to guide the team better than the other members. It was clear that she couldn't. She tried. She just wanted what was best for the team. But ultimately, she didn't have the skills necessary to lead them in the most effect way. They still won, which is awesome! But it could have probably been done with less strain on the group. Seriously, a teacher gives you a group project and you get divided into groups via whatever method they choose (pick a number, random selection, based on grades, you pick your own group, I don't care). What's the first thing that everyone does? Nothing. You twiddle your thumbs and look at each other for someone to step up and handle leading the project. And when no one does, everyone finds some way to pick a person who can (usually based on who gets the best grades in the class). Cai Bing was that person doing the best. And unfortunately, it wasn't a position that she was ready to fill. Anyways, great video as always! You never disappoint! Now if y'all will excuse me, I need to write a song about sandwiches and rainbows lol

Instead of seeing what fully happened people instantly LABEL people this and that. How would you know what fully happened if you weren’t there? In saying all of this, Cai Bing’s behaviour did surprise me and I don’t accept it, however, a bad leader doesn’t she’s a bad person. If you got nothing positive to post, I don’t recommend making a 14 min video about someone’s behaviour that occurred once and attack their personality and reputation. This!!! 100%! I had a discussion today with someone and they literally change her top picks in that show every week and suprise it's always the ones with most screentime. She always loved Cai Bing and then this episode came out and she told me "She's not my favorite anymore" and I immediately knew that it was evil editing. Mnet is so great with editing and manipulating their viewers into thinking that someone is bad without considering that's what they want the viewers to think. It's literally not even funny anymore how I told her that we don't know what is going on behind the scenes and that it could also be staged. She just believes what she sees not even thinking for a second. When the thing with Fu Yaning happend everyone was hating on her. Have we heard a single thing from her since then? Not really. Also it's a rumor that yujin and fu yaning are actually friends behind the scenes so the incident that happened was probably staged too. Mnet probably has a clear line up in mind and they probably try everything to edit those who they want out of the show and make the ones they want in the line up receiving the benefits so they get safed. So when people actually encounter that, their immediate reaction is to think they’re bad people. That’s why it’s so easy for survival shows like this to create villains. But the rest were annoyed by the sudden change and it came across as Cai Bing wanted to get as many parts as possible. What she has said wasn't even that bad. I understand what she said, as a Chinese. She was just being a strongly opinionated woman. And yeah, people be like supporting strong, confident opinionated women but when women really do that, they get dragged. They have made changes a lot in the perf, that means Cai Bing did listened to the others, resolved the issue within her members and learned from her mistakes but Mnet didn't want to put it on the show because they want to make another Chinese the villain. Cai Bing was a flawed leader but she was trying her best. Do Kpop stans learn nothing about Mnet? Kpop stans need to know, Kpop isn't full of rainbows. It's a career, very stressful. Yup. I noticed that Chinese trainees are very opinionated people and they're not afraid to say what they want to say but the mistranslation made it seem harsher. But, it's very sad to see Chinese trainees refraining themselves to talk now. They're afraid that even yawning or just talk can make them evil. They're traumatized. They're not confident like before. It's kinda sad to see confident and talented girls being slowly becoming conscious and afraid they might not be talented as they thought they are.

At some point of the show I was wondering if Cai Bing would just stop being leader. Like honestly, when I was watching the whole scene I was like OK they definitely have some high expectations on Cai Bing 'cause she was in the top 9. They got frustrated after the interim and worried. People forget so easily this is a competition where all of them go one against the other to have a spot in the final 9. It is normal for them to get upset in this kind of situation. So watching the scene as a whole I was like, OK so now Cai Bing's gonna get hate when everybody would have acted the same. Like imagine you are doing some homework from school in teams and you are the one who is organizing the people, who gets who, maybe the direction (as they decided to choose Cai Bing as the killing part 'cause they wanted the sexy aura she brings), and all of a sudden everybody started to complain or to question a lot of things. All of us would have exploded, it doesn't mean we are being mean (neither one or another). People who work together have fights, arguments, they have the ups and downs. It is normal, as well as the fact that not all teams are going to have same dinamics. Like this is quite obvious but people forget... not any of the teams have the same type of teamwork, specially not the dance focus ones. And it is so nice someone pointed out the Chinese thingie... Like I truly thought due to episode 6 that Wang Yale was about to become the next villain. I don't know what it is that Mnet is playing but it should stop editing to make Chinese trainees look so badly and poorly. Fu Yaning, now Cai Bing. I am actually afraid for Shen Xiaoting and Su Ruiqi to be the next target to be honest...

I think the girls chose her as the leader because of her top 9 placement and nothing more. After Cai Bing got the comments about her doing the killing part or giving it to somebody else, the girls started to doubt her (which I understand, they want someone that will help them survive the round) and that what's "failed" their teamwork more than anything else. I think she did the right thing by stepping up and shutting the girls down at the point she did even if that irritated/disappointed them. Being a leader is not about playing nice and I think many viewers probably struggle to understand that. Seeing how talkative Kim Doah (I think I wrote her name wrong, please correct me) is and how ready she was to express herself and suggest change makes me think they should have voted her as team leader.

I think that while Caibing most definitely handled things wrong, so did everyone else. It could be mnets editing but in my eyes everyone was rude. No one was listening to what cb was saying because in their mind they were already doubtful of cb's leadership and skill, and cb shut down her teammates when she became frustrated. I think everyone definitely had reasons to be frustrated and that's why the environment became the way it did. It wasn't completely cb's and for people to dump all the blame on her and demonize her is so unfair and cruel. Especially knowing that things were fixed between the girls and they ended up doing what they needed to do.
@theoniiix

@@neo.aenergy I agree with you. Cai Bing was the leader and she could have handled most things better but in my eyes, she was the only one that could step up and say things to keep the girls grounded, even if that frustrated them or not. I understand teams are about communication (which in this case, wasn't that great) and patience but some of the girls were so ready to jump up and try and dominate their conversations and completely blindsight Cai Bing. In my opinion, Mnet is really trying to push narratives (they can't rig the votes this time around lol, so they are pushing their favourites) and their tries to make Cai Bing a "villain" were so apparent... And of course, the fans are so ready to jump in and hate on the girl. It really shows that many people don't even try to comprehend what they are watching. Of course, it doesn't help that some trainees are being shoved down our throats, regardless of their talent and performance and others are like, not even mentioned. If Mnet wanted to be fair and prove that they are not evil editing they would give all the girls fair time distribution. For example, they buried Cai Bing in the Salute performance, with minimum screentime when she had already given up her killing part (and literally the only parts she could shine in) and on top of that made her out to be the bad guy for a whole episode. I am starting to think that the episodes are scripted.

@@toxictrax Actually, it wasn't a flop. That's the whole issue with Mnet's editing; you only see about a minute of conflict and then you make assumptions about how terrible things are going, when there are hours and hours of practice and arrangement behind the scenes and in the end, it's pretty obvious that the girls got along very well. Also, that girl, Wang Yale, is a literal music major. I can clearly see the pattern on their choosing for the "villain" this time around... For one, the Chinese trainees are (mostly) opinionated women, and they don't seem to share the same "I'm a lady, so I shall not share my concerns out loud for I don't want any type of conflict...That is until I undoubtedly 'play victim' while crying in front of pressure, because 'how come you don't know what I was thinking?'!" mindset that looks to be ingrained on korean and japanese people alike.. Not that the other groups don't have a few members who do speak up, but it's only one or two, and it's not often either. And also, from what I've noticed(and I could be totally off here), koreans seem more "comfortable" with the japanese language than with chinese, so that would make it even easier to spice translations up and change the overall meaning of what was said, and have no one question it, kinda like what they did with Fu Ya Ning...🙃 Anyway, that's just my interpretation on this and sorry for the long 4ss TEDx, if anyone actually read this that is.........🤪

Not gonna lie, sometimes when kpop fans start saying who's a bad person based on the function of their group and teamwork or lack thereof I get a bit weirded out. The reason is because I've seen fans laugh or wanna know about the drama between their favorite groups. They like knowing the struggles their faves went through together and their arguements. For example the NCT haechan and Mark fight that supposedly ended up not even being real??? IDK if what I said makes sense. But, I think fans need to realize that the same thing has prob happened to or with their faves (we just don't see it unless years later idols talk about it or idols poke fun at it for laughs once they're popular). Any who, part of teamwork is getting over humps like this. and then fans usually say "see, working in groups is so hard, but they got over the hurdles UwU" LMFAO

Here's the thing with teams. Most of the time they can't be a democracy. Yes, everyone should be allowed to give their opinions , voice their ideas, and contribute to the project, but in the end you need a leader to say "this is good, this isn't, we're doing this, we're not doing that." A person with a clear vision on the project as a whole instead of individual concerns will always, ALWAYS, produce a better product. One vision is easier for an audience to understand than multiple ones.

She gave them enough material to send half of the writing staff on early break Jiao - illness and language barrier portrayed as laziness/incompetence Xingqiao - she laughed so lets spotlight that and give her nothing else for the rest of the episode Yale - least negative edit because she redeemed herself, smart legend! Contestants who could have gotten the bad edit but dodged: Jiyoon - if she was a foreigner she would be destroyed on that stage for her mistake. BUT NO! let's coddle and praise her FYN - MNET loves Mashiro so FYN could have been the target but FYN was smart to give Mashiro the leader role right away Jiwon - interestingly a K contestant! she got the greedy edit in first challenge but this time she let Mashiro & FYN take the wheels, tactical genius! Ziyin - too nice, MNET can't do anything....yet Zige - literally no highlight whatsoever but MNET does not want to afflict damages on Suyeon & Hikaru At this point I think the only C contestants MNET like are Xiaoting, Ruiqi, Hsin Wei & a bit of Wen Zhe. TBH as I was watching I was feeling a bit disappointed in her, especially since I've been voting for her. After I had calmed down and thought it through rationally, it does seem like a whole lot of evil editing and a little bit of miscommunication as you've said. Her attitude was still a bit questionable but it's not unforgivable like come on. As for people judging her from a 3 minute clip. It's kinda the same as it was with FYN. Everyone's starting to realize that she's not as bad as people (and mnet) made her out to be. TBH I don't even think she meant to be so bitchy, the way she stopped to think and had that nervous laugh makes me think she didn't expect the judges to ask her to say something to the original singer, and she improvised. Yeah it was bad, she's probably not good at coming up with good disses on the spot, and maybe shouldn't have gone for it at all, but it's not the end of the world, and Caibing's f up is not the end of the world either. If y'all ever feel mad at these girls just try to recall any instance of when you had to perform in front of people, and the feeling you had. Maybe that will help you have some empathy. The only thing I would disagree is that when you say this might not be MNET's fault. At the end of the day, this show is still a business matter. Their production team already knew how the audience would react before the episode even aired or, most probably, they all orchestrated these scenarios and tension way before such events happens. I think we all should know how to dissect and understand why survival/reality shows need to work this way. Unlike regular dramas that would automatically rake in viewers due to several factors like the actors' popularity, the plot, et cetera, reality shows are more focused on pulling or triggering the audience's emotions that would cause buzz because: 1) reality shows are not shows filled with popular stars that would easily generate viewership, 2) watching people do the similar things over and over again would decrease viewership, and most importantly 3) viewers cannot easily gravitate to people that they barely know. Due to these, reality shows need to cloak itself in its concept of being a "reality" show to maximize their viewership and relevance despite them showing only the partial reality or, even worse, a twisted narrative of the reality. Here we will understand why villains, heroes, underdogs, comic reliefs, and other reality show archetypes are important because they would generate viewership. Y'all should realize that even if how much you'd say that you don't care about the drama but only the performance MNET won't change their editing because drama = buzz = relevance = viewership = money. So, although it is obviously our fault as an audience that these trainees are receiving hate, we cannot conceal the fact that MNET and any other reality show producers are the biggest at fault here for needing to paint some contestants in the negative light for the sake of money.

I don't think Cai Bing is a bad person by any means. However, like many have noted, her leadership was beyond disappointing. Yes this is a survival show, but team work is vital. And if you think about, the way your team works together and complements one another can especially make or break the performance. She especially should have created her teammates when asked about the choreography. As well, I believe they mainly choose Cai Bing because of her top 9 position. As a team leader Cai Bing shouldn't have told her teammates to stop sharing their opinions. It made things worse for both her and her team mates by telling them to stop their opinions. I just hope all the girls are able to survive the elimination and work well in the future.

Exactly, being a good leader is also knowing when you need help. People is saying that we don't know how hard is to do that many things but that's the thing, if it was that hard she should've told her teammates, and she should've accept to be replaced for the killing part, not only for her but for the entire team. For me it seemed pretty selfish of her, I get she wanted to prove herself but so do everyone else so that's not an excuse 💁

I would stop opinions aswell if i was voted a leader and nobody follow just after a bad interim check happened and were behind. And as for the choreo ask part we didn’t know what really happened. It could be the translator being late or she misunderstood the question from who choreograph or leader or center or killing part or positioning and formation. Because from cai bing face she looks clueless and the members who understand the question could have speak sooner a lot of possibilities to point someone did wrong.

All team memebers were frustrated planning this performance and righfully so. They just need to choose their roles better! Although Cai Bing is Top 9 and very charasmatic on stage she struggles with the rhythm and her members should've evaluated that before giving her the leader, and killing part position.

Personally, I don't think it's fair to judge her ability to be a part of a team on this salute team disagreement. Based off HYLT, Cai Bing spent extra time practicing because she didn't want to let her teammates down. I expect that in the next mission she'll avoid any main parts or a leader role similar to past produce trainees who were labelled as "greedy" or "selfish" by viewers. And with a smaller role hopefully she can overcome past mistakes of pressure affecting her performance.

Whether you like or hate CaiBing's attitude, her team ended up as the winner. And not just that, all of the members stood up. Every single of them. Sunmi herself said that. The Masters didn't know or care what had happened outside of the stage. They were just judging the performance in front of them. When it's succeed, they would assume the leadership was working. As simple as that.

Cai bing is a bad leader yes but judging someone’s personality by their leader ship is just absurd. I bet a lot of yall who hate on cai bing aren’t even near being a good leader. I swear if you’re idol’s real arguments were shown on camera you would bully them out of the industry. This is a competition where in every episode a whole lot of amount of people are getting eliminated so if YOU were going to get a killing part in a 9 member team obviously you would want to have it. And you’ll do your best to keep it. Cai bing also said tht “I would give up the position if majority votes.” Also she was quiet the whole time they were complaining about her. So to people who keep calling her names if someone keeps complaining about you after you make a mistake without giving you second chance won’t you get mad? Think about it rationally it’s normal to get mad when you’re just getting shit on without having a chance. And there were several miscommunication. If you’re working in a team there are going to be roadblocks. People are gonna have different opinions regardless of what they went through they gave an awesome performance and slayed it. Mnet is attacking Chinese trainees specifically and yall are buying it. Ya want drama that’s it.

If you were to be put in a situation where you need to lead a team and perform something, you'll probably react in a certain way. If you were to be put in a chill and calm environment, you will also act another way. That's what happens when you were put in different situations, you'll act different but it doesn't mean you are completely like that. Same as Caibing, just because she was a bad leader in one situation doesn't mean she's completely a bad person in other contexts of situations. It's simply a flight-or-fight response but more complex. The whole team is just another case of miscommunication. It's alright that people were skeptical about Caibing now (me too with the way she acted as a leader) but people should realise if you were in Caibing's place, how would YOU act? It's ok that people don't wanna support her anymore but there's so many different perspectives that we should take account into, like the eve team

This is for sure that Cai bing must have apologized as we can see doah hugging her first after the results but I just don't know why mnet didn't show anything about them resolving the situation bts . Tbh I always saw Cai bing kind of nervous everytime .it must be really hard and she must be in a lot of pressure after getting the leader position and being the only top 9 contestant there on her team plus the language barrier. Ppl tend to feel really frustrated when ppl around you don't speak the same language tho when they can't communicate well enough with each other. And girlie literally gave up her killing part to jia ,had less lines and screen time but mnet didn't even show that . I seriously feel so bad for her.

i noticed that most of the teams here lack teamwork, its like theyre all fighting for one win and it didnt help at all, Regardless, no hate to Cai Bing, but I think the leader position is not for her at all, she couldve consider the other's feelings or they couldve just talk for a second and find the solution to a problem. That is the main *problem* of most people, just because youre the leader doesnt mean youre on the top and have the right to dictate the others. But like I said, nohate to Cai Bing, its normal that maybe she let the emotions thru her and didnt think what she has said anymore, but Kudos to them that Salute still turned out as one of the best performances!

I have been a team leader/manager in a professional environment before and partially disagree with your statement. Yes, its great to ask for opinions etc, esp when youre a teammember. but when its slowing the team’s pace well then you as the team leader need to assert yourself and make the call. As a team leader, ive tried those two styles: the laidback leader and the assertive leader. I can promise you people thought im the best leader ever when im using the laidback style, but i kid you not, eeeeeeverything is decided very slow, late, almost nonexisting deadlines, etc. but when im assertive, yes they think im a “beach” but hey,,, WE get things done!! 😁 what im saying is, at the end of the day, the team leader/manager is the one is responsible for team’s success pr failure. Here is what i conclude from my years as a head of something: when your team succeed, people will call it the TEAM has succeed, but when your team fails, people will say its the Leader’s fault because they cant lead properly. Imagine that but with the global society……. Man 🤦🏻‍♀️

okay let’s be honest i think what happened is for the better people rly don’t know how hard it is to take on a leadership role.Being a leader isn’t about being nice. people are struggling to digest this situation, the industry has conditioned us that even a simple disagreement could translate to someone being a bad person this rly shows how fast people can take something and run with it without knowing the full context and i’m worried about that cuz it’s becoming more common in the real world people should also rly stop choosing leader just cuz there the most popular in the class/competition.

Also Cai Bing should not have been chosen as leader lol like this is on the entire team like I think they chose her because she was in top9 and maybe doah or Jia should've been the leader. About the teamwork thing tho, some times it does matter because it's also to see how they would do in the top9, like end of the day you need to be able to work with people But ya this was mainly evil editing. Honestly when I was watching this whole thing go down the one that left a bad taste in my mouth was actually Doah... Throughout the entire thing she was honestly kind of acting like a high school mean girl and it would make all the other girls copy her. The bystander effect was quite strong with this one, because no one really seemed to have as big as a problem with it as her, but as soon as Doah did, everyone else was suddenly so upset with Cai Bing. The part with Zhang luo fei and her doing a killing part together and Doah suddenly acting as if someone just slapped her was I think the thing that was most off putting to me... Such a big unnecessary reaction while looking at the other girls to get all of them to think the same was incredibly mean girl-y and reminds me so much of highschool. It was intended to only be a way to alienate Cai Bing after she had just about everyone on her ass since the interim check, and I don't blame her for reacting the way she did... what did they expect? She was hounded by everyone to the point of tears and blamed for it when she did literally nothing wrong, everything she did was nit picked and scrutinised and she had reactions like those from Doah who was basically trying to get everyone to team up against her, which only made it worse. I was actually like genuinely bamboozled when I saw that everyone online was talking shit about CAI BING in that situation... Like what did they expect the girl to do? Honestly...

this is just my opinion, you can disagree if u want: i think doahs reactions were kind of reasonable, the team had already discussed that luo fei does her part solo (from what i remember cai bing was literally right next to luo fei when they were discussing her solo part) and when they were about to practice again, cai bing did the part with her.. wouldn't you get frustrated too? i think doah didnt want the other girls to team up against cai bing, the other girls were kind of frustrated/confused (i think so) *even before* doahs reactions but they were hiding it.. and doah is a straight forward person (examples: on pd48 she called out mnet for not giving her screentime) so she probably reacted in a way that she was clearly frustrated/confused idk tbh im just confused... edit: at the end of the day, the girls probably reconciled and resolved their miscommunication, maybe even apologized to each other who knows bc mnet never showed the part where they made up (its obvious they made up bc they were hugging each other very tightly after the performance/winning) and they won the benefit so its all good in the end imo :)

@@umopapisdn. yah but if you see closely in the seen cai bing wasn't there when luo fie speak, like as a leader she supposed to be there in the discussion, and when she stand up with Lou fie they should told her to not do that and to let her understand that they change it instead of the unnecessary reactions (that will be the perfect solution for the situation), like caibing is a person she has a feeling like if I was cai bing I will feel so furious, embarrassed and frustrated too. and as you said probably they make it out and apologise to each others off camera.

They only show how frustrated the member with cai bing and all bad vibes, and the fact that she wants to be the center etc. but at the of the day there she's listen to the members n master dancing in the corner and barely have part and the fact that she listen to the member by giving jia the killing part..cme on now... I'm not hating the member they did right in some points. Mnet didn't show the fact that she did all of the changes that the member ask for. Mnet is a snake indeed. I'm not trying to be biased but it's normal people do have the bad sight but in this case, she didn't being selfish at the final stage so i assume behind the camera they did manage to sort things out.
