Cain Velasquez's fight against former kickboxer and heavyweight contender Cheick Kongo at UFC 99 on June 13, 2009 in Cologne, Germany.
Velasquez was once again dominant, landing 251 strikes and winning the bout by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, and 30-27).

Kongo had such power, he dropped or rocked Cain in every round. Cain is such a zombie though, his recovery and stamina was on another level. At his best he can beat any fighter.

Esta luta mostrou ao mundo o poder do wrestling de alto nível contra um trocador. O jogo de quedas abre o caminho para vários tipos de cenários: finalizações, ground 'n pound, etc. Logo após, Cormier nos mostrou novamente que quem não tem medo de ser derrubado pode trocar com mais tranquilidade. A não ser que o Adversário seja Anderson Silva... rsrs, Aí é melhor derrubar logo e fazer a lição de casa! rsrs LoL
