sometimes it takes a couple songs from a group before your bias chooses you ... and sometimes the elevator opens and Ryujin looks up at you, and you're done in 1.5 seconds

Fun fact, the director of In the Morning is Bang Jae-yeob. He is also the director of God’s Menu (SKZ), Back Door (SKZ), All In (SKZ), Gimme Gimme (NCT), and Breathe (Got7). You can see the resemblance in the style and it’s so unique :D (He is my fave director lol)

Yes, you made the connection - "in the morning" is based on the parlor game. Apparently there is a lot of clever wordplay related to that. I don't speak Korean but PD on Form of Therapy did a commentary about it .

itzy has a lot of really good bsides. i know some people might not like some of their title tracks, but if you check out their albums, you always find at least one song in each that you like and that's what i love about their discography. they never disappoint.

The song at the end of the "Not Shy" music video is "Don't Give A What" and it's one of the bsides from the "Not Shy" mini album. :) It's one of my favorite albums of theirs together with "Guess Who" and "Crazy in Love". They have many great bsides and I would love to see your reactions to them if you want to and if you have time for it!!

Ryujin’s shoulder dance is a literal work out😓. The way you describe Itzy’s music as being both hard hitting and cute is known as Teen Crush. Another group called Weki Meki coined the term but Itzy popularized it.

Mafia is in reference to the game, yes - at this time (and still) it was one of THE most popular games to play in variety shows, among kpop groups, and in the general public due to the success of Among Us in lockdown. Unfortunately in Korea the word was so closely associated with the game that the fact ‘mafia’ originally refers to a dangerous syndicate in other parts of the world was not so apparent to the label and there were some interesting discussions online as a result.

Welcome to the 4th gen QWEENSSSS!! the crown pose at the end is their signature and just so you know, yes, they are absolute record breakers and fun fact, the only kpop group EVER to have 3 out 5 on studio choom and all three are iconic. like not just their vocals, they have like THE best dance line in 4th gen if not kpop cuz all 3 of the members are known as the best dancers of kpop as a whole

When you've mentioned on your previous live stream you prefer "aggressive" sound/concept (which is like, same girl), I first thought about ITZY! Their title tracks are stronger, darker than usual gg concepts that's why I stan them and Aespa. Made me feel more curious about how you'd react with ITZY! When I checked Dalla Dalla, I was not very enthused about Itzy but then Icy was released and that song made me really interested in them. It was such a catchy, fun and energetic sound and I loved the MV a lot. But Mafia (In the Morning) is what made me stan. I loved the song a lot and the MV, everything. Also, not sure if you know but Ryujin (the girl with short blue hair in wannabe) and Yuna (the blond girl in icy) were in the Highlight reels video from BTS.

me at the end of 2018 : I was a carat-wannable-army who tired being multifan and about to quit kpop world. news that jyp and bighit will be debuting a new group at february and march, with the same number of 5 members passed on my twitter and made me curious bcs their debut was highly anticipated by k 2019 : I stan both of them till now and their debut is legendary, txt itzy the it boygroup-girlgroup, they are 2019 rookie grandslam duo and 4th gen leader😭 meaning of the lyrics of their songs is very deep, I'm so proud of them and itzy is the first last and only girl group that I stan💗

Turn this one up. Okay, Itzy are those girls. I was worried because I really liked Dalla Dalla and no other song had come close to it for me for some time...then they dropped Not Shy. I liked Icy and I didn't care for Wannabe but, Not Shy? The way I was obsessively playing that song in 2020 was not a game 💀 I think that's where I realised Ryujin is my bias as well lol. Then they dropped Mafia in The Morning which I was wildly unprepared for and, it bulldozed all their other title tracks for me 💀

as usual with your reactions, i love how you took your time appreciating the sheer CONFIDENCE that oozes from these girls (especially during those dance breaks AHHHHH), and how you pointed out that not shy is both a love song AND self-empowering at the same time! like both of those themes truly don't have to be mutually exclusive, and hearing you talk about it made me appreciate the song that much more! and when you mentioned that sort of itzy-brand confidence, it made me think about how usually it's said that groups have a signature sound, but definitely not as often can it be said that a group has a signature message, so, once again, i found myself appreciating itzy that much more after your reaction lol. thank you so much for a first look ep on itzy!!! i appreciate your hard work on this series too!! :)

ITZY are amazing. I need to set aside some time to get to know more about them properly (too many groups, but they're top of my list to stan in a future where more time exists), but I listen to them quite regularly and every track you listened to is on my playlists.😁 I LOVE their energy. Their title tracks are absolute bangers, but with really lovely messages about empowerment and self love, which is awesome. I remember when hearing them first it reminded me of when I was little and singing along to Spice Girls, thinking I was going to rule the world. Like obviously the sound and style are different, but the feeling of just "nobody can stop me because I am the boss" is just👏

I love itzy so much. Just like their song, they're real on and off cam coz they are sooo funny and chaotic. Plus, their LIVE PERFORMANCES are superb 👌🏼👌🏼 esp the latests ones (2021 MAMA)

I like your reactions, because your opinion on different songs is usually polar opposites with mine😄when Not shy came out, that was it for me! Like of course I've heard their songs previously, and they were good, but Not shy made me stan them. Every single comeback after that was a 100% hit for me
