I recently watched Arcane with my dad and his partner and they both loved it!! My dad is a musician so I got inspired to create an Arcane edit to one of his songs. I'm absolutely obsessed with Caitvi and I thought this song fit them well, so this edit was born. If you see it on Facebook, Twitter, online, or anything else, and it's not been posted by me, that's because my dad and his partner are sharing it too, to hype up his music as well as my work!!

Notes:
- The audio from the show in this edit is quite a bit louder than normal because I actually got feedback this time and my dad and his partner both said it was too quiet before, so let me know your thoughts!! Is it better than my previous edits which include show audio, or is it too loud?
(Watch before reading the following notes otherwise they won't make sense.)
- I thought it would be cool to start with those frames where they're either side of the same door and have no idea, and then bring them as adults in with the beat!
- I cut a long instrumental out of this song because editing to instrumentals is hard and the instrumentals on my dad's album are LONG. I also cut some of the outro (the ending refrain is repeated many more times than you can hear in this video). The full song is 4:38, but still well worth a listen!
- In case it wasn't clear, the lines "God was in the house/I had to go/Have you heard the terrible things he does/if you don't unlock the door" were not directly in reference to Caitvi but in reference to the circumstances in which their love occurs (which make it more 'impossible' for them to be together and happy.) The first two lines in this sequence refer to the Council - the 'gods' because they have the power to control and make decisions - and Vi leaving because of what happens with them. The spoken sequence refer to Silco and the 'terrible things' he does to his own people in order to fight back. Also, in that sequence Vi quite literally "unlocks a door" so, yk, I'm a literal person.
