God dammit. My coming out as bi was so freaking awkward 😭😭 meanwhile we got the mama support group that are just like “you are so brave! I’m so proud!” Like I know a lot of times kids end up getting disowned when they come out but my mom was like “okay *proceeds to yap for 5 years about how it could be a phase*” like gurl. Honestly, nobody’s doing it like The Owl House and Dragon Prince, literally so much casual rep in those two shows that simply exist. The Owl House literally has zero homophobia in any form, has strong messages about mental illness that doesn’t stigmatize it, disabled and neurodivergent characters that aren’t portrayed as needing to fixed, but accommodated! I haven’t seen Dragon Prince so I can’t say much about it, but from what I have seen in clips, it’s got just as much rep and is awesome.

it's both! it's plural and singular. some people claim the singular is 'grammatically incorrect' but it has in fact been in use in some form since the 14th century to refer to someone where you don't know their gender! e.g. if someone says 'I had a nice conversation with the shop assistant', you might say 'oh, what did they say?' because you don't know their gender/pronouns. it's now also the pronoun some people use to refer to ourselves. usually, but not always, when we identify as non-binary in some way.
