Look at those COLOURS, those BACKGROUNDS, those CHARACTERS, and their relations, the dialogs, the story ... Wow Gobelins, such a gem, always puting the bar even higher, and even more impressive when we know it is students that made that film. Bravo.

This story reminds me of previous short films from Gobelins' students, like the one about the swimmer that was trying to overcome the previous dead swimming star, and the story of the police woman that because of her stubbornness she accidentally killed another police woman. When we try to prove a point sometimes we end up harming others and ourselves if we are too stubborn.

Another Gobelins short that manages to cram more effective drama into a less-than-ten-minutes story than most movies are able to do. There's a lot of things I could point out about the production that are excellent, but that is what I wanted to say the most. God, I love this channel.

My wish is to be a Gobelins student... I'm working hard on my french and artistic skills so I can be accepted here with the help of a scholarship since I don't have the money to pay the courses myself... It has been my dream for a lot of time now and this video inspirates me a lot. I have watched it hundreds of times already and it hypes me more and more.

Un court métrage qui pourrait facilement être développé en long. Tout est magnifique, décors, character design ... Un petit parfum de japon dans la façon dont les personnages se meuvent ainsi que dans le thème. Un travail remarquable. Bravo aux artistes !

I'm not an animation expert however what I can say is that this has been excellently executed. From the story to the drawing style and music, everything has been exquisite. I would love to see a longer version and more films like this. Greetings from Bangladesh 💜

Je ne m'y connais pas tellement en poésie, mais pour moi ça s'en approche:)

This reminds me of the Wildfire short by Gobelins! It captures both the beauty and overwhelming power of the caldera's fiery lava, driving home the themes of obsession and internal struggle.

From what I understood the action is symbolic. I think its supposed to show how the frustration and jealousy she feels towards her sister only hurts herself? That's just my guess though.

It could be both. Notice that her pose at first seemed like she's about to throw her the rock to be noticed, but then she has this pause of doubt, that she won't be able to stop her. So she hurt herself in order to make her sister listen and leave. The self hurting is both literal and metaphorical as in this trip she hurt herself to prove that she's at least as brave as her sister
