As a babe in Christ I was involved with the charismatic movement. I saw it all. The holy ghost gun, speaking in tongues without purpose or translation, laughing and rolling on the floor. And of course laying on of hands With the purpose of being slain in the spirit. What they do is push you. They put their hands on your forehead and they push you backwards waiting for you to give in. If you don't give in they move on to the next person. Unfortunately as a new believer I thought I should be experiencing something and I gave in. I laid there on the ground feeling ridiculous. In tears I was asking God to please allow me to experience what everybody else was experiencing. It's a sham. The people who do this and expect people to FALL at their touch are filled with pride. They have "THE POWER!" These things can cause babes in Christ to fall away. Let's continue to pray and read our Bibles.✝️📖🙏🤍

My personal testimony is that I fell down after the pastor prayed for me on my own because I wanted others to think that I, too, was 'slain' in the spirit. I thank God that through reading and the teaching of His word, I am free from this nonsense. 🙏 I promise you that if they didn't know there were catchers behind them, they would not fall backward!

I remember modifying a building for a small church that I attended. I believe sometimes that in order to create the cloud filling the temple feeling, where everybody just laughed hysterically was caused by a gas bottle in the back room which I saw. Nitrous oxide perhaps. When I think about it I wonder why would there be an industrial-size oxygen bottle or gas bottle in the backroom of the Church. I'm a welder and I'm familiar with these bottles. I think about that every now and then and how affected the people were during service. I've breathed nitrous oxide before. I think you could have pulled my teeth that day at church and it would have been quite alright. I experienced it again in another church one time very small room. Just not sure. Everytime I think about it it gets me mad. I thought I was having a spiritual experience at the time. Now I just don't know that's what makes me mad. Probably happened about 1981or 1982

Amen,amen,amen! I am Pentecostal and my longtime pastor always told us this was “learned behavior”. And we did have a very lively church. But he noticed this when charismatics would visit our church they would always bring one of their own people with them to catch them when they got prayed for. But some Pentecostal churches do this regularly, and have the customary blanket ready to cover the women when they fall to the floor.

I have always found it interesting that in God's Word , His people ALWAYS fall on their knees or faces FORWARD...the ENEMIES of God ALWAYS FALL BACKWARD. I won't elaborate the pattern I've noticed about everyone who falls "slain in the spirit" on charismatic church floors/stages...but it does make me wonder , since God is Biblically consistent , WHICH spirit the charismatics are slain in ?!?!?!

All the true believers fell upon their faces before God both in the Old Testament and New Testament. Moses fell upon his face before the burning bush. All the evil fell backwards JOHN 18.6 When Jesus said, I am he they fell backwards.

I've seen this "slain in the spirit" phenomenon, many times, especially when I went to a Benny Hinn meeting in Birmingham, England. The guy simply waved his hand an it seemed that loads of people in the audience fell back. I was in a house meeting that same year, someone laid hands on me an I fell backwards, nearly demolished a photo that was there on a shelf. Never did that again. If I was prayed for, I just fell on my knees an let the Holy Spirit minister to me. On a stage in Illinois in 93, after a meeting I simply laid down an God ministered unto me. Didn't need anyone to lay hands on me...

You referenced the scripture when God specifically told the Isrealites not to engage in the pagan practices, and rightly so....I want to bring something else up if that is ok. According to a previous video of yours, you may disagree with what I'm about to say, but the traditions and practices of celebrating Christmas are Easter fit into that category as well. Those are pagan holidays with pagan practices, traditions and customs that have nothing to do with Yeshua, Jesus. They celebrate and give worship to pagan gods. God told His people not to worship Him the way the pagans worship their gods, yet Christians all over the world will argue (similarly to this topic of being "slain in the spirit") to defend their practice of celebrating these holidays by "claiming them for Jesus". That is no different than this in that regard. I just wanted to comment that because you referenced the scriptures in Deuteronomy. I can't help but specifically look at Deuteronomy 12:30-31. Being "Slain in the Spirit" is a REAL Holy Spirit experience which is the result of God's Manifested Presence and Glory literally "touching" a person. I had this experience in my room after seeking God in His Word for 18 months and NO MAN LAID HANDS ON ME AT ALL. While I was "Slain in the Spirit" (but conscience), on my bed, God delivered me of a Broken Heart, a Tobacco & Marijuana Addiction, & Fear in an INSTANT. And just like Daniel's experience, my flesh lost all of its strength and I was unable to move while God was moving upon me. People need to understand something, just because someone has not had this experience doesn't mean it is not of God. This experience can happen when you are ALONE with God or God can use the laying on of hands as He wills. it is NOT WISE to "teach" anything that God has not made known to you BY THE REVELATION OF HIS SPIRIT. The Word of God on "paper" ALONE, is not enough to "TEACH", because the Word on "paper" is only in "seed" form which is "dead" or lies dormant until it is planted in Good Ground and grows to full maturity. You must have the REVELATION OF THE WORD to "TEACH", WHICH IS LIVING.

When the soldiers and officers of the chief priests drew back and fell to the ground in John 18:6, there wasn't anything supernatural about it. It was just them trying to quickly take some steps backward when they realised the "dangerous" man the whole company is here for is standing right in front of them. If you were in the front-line, naturally you want to take a step or 2 back to assess the threat level. If there are people behind you, naturally some would stumble and still fall backward , away from the danger.

You would think that when people are slain in the spirit are protected from hurting themselves since they believe that they are under power of the Holly Spirit . But why is it that they have people, catchers behind them trying to prevent them from falling ? Since this alleged manifestation of the Holy Spirit can not be validated in the scriptures , this is definitely NOT the Holy Spirit but a different spirit who would allow the recipient to fall down and break your head .

Hello Caleb Corneloup, my earthly parent bestowed name is Bruce Steel. I do own a divine name however that i was given in 2005, Jepethiel (En), Y-pet-el (Heb. - translation = 'his Saviour has OPENED, the WAY to El'). I was appointed by the Lord as a prophet of His in about May 1996, after 'qualifying' by watching an episode of 'The Simpsons', and correctly identified the characters, and the spiritual truths that they represented. My point here is that God has been working in my life for a long time. It was some time before this however that I had an experience where I had to prophesy JUDGEMENT, on a wayward, 'self-appointed' prophetess in Newcastle, NSW. At that time i experienced a similar distress like that of Daniel the prophet. However, I do need to make a brief diversion to previous church experience with being prayed for at a Pentecostal church. In that experience I was pushed on the forehead by a visiting preacher, who became frustrated that i would not 'play-the-game' and fall down backwards as 'slain-in-the-Spirit'. It was at that point that I completely rejected this kind of ministry as being false, and thus began the journey to 'OVERCOMING Pergamos/Pergamon' that culminated in being re-named in March of 2005, AFTER Jesus had asked me if i knew that i HAD OVERCOME Pergamos. This is often the Kundalini spirit, not the Spirit of God. You often see it when people begin to writhe or dance uncontrollably suddenly at a meeting. Kenneth Copeland and Kenneth Hagan were well known for it manifesting at their meetings...

To say " cannot stand" ,in this context,probably means " could not bear". In my mind I even see the priests having to shield their eyes from the glory, and perhaps, they had to depart at least temporarily.

I do not believe in Benny Hinn but I also do not believe that all manifestations of "Slain in the Spirit" are false manifestations. It takes spiritual discernment to know what is true and false.

At 7:50, I can see what you think, but all the prophets were necked and Saul joined in with them. I believe it's more of a sign of humility and transparency. Saul wouldn't let go but had to be brought to the place of reality time and again. As to falling out in Spirit, I have seen hundreds of times and an example of what one person's experience was that, it was the first time in their life that all the noise and business inside there mind was gone and they felt nothing but peace. I left the pentecostal church feeling uncomfortable. I went to a non denominational church and I finally began to understand the bible. I think it was their belief that you can lose your salvation.

I love ithinkbiblically's videos. On this topic, not for a moment do I doubt him, but if it's not biblical, then why does it occur? Is it staged? Is it forced?

If you take the Lord's sacrifice for granted, using Him like a rag to clean off your dirty shoes polluted with careless sin, then you are no longer in His grace. Jesus knows the hearts, He created us. Hebrews 10:26-29 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?

There are various reasons why some people fall when prayed for, and at times "fall under the power of the Holy Spirit"! The mistake you make, is that you try & put God in a box!!In my experience over many years, I've known of countless experiences of people who have fallen in this way only to have the HS work on their hearts! this has been in areas relating to sin issues, emotional issues & being set free from the demonic, the list goes on. Sure l could go into details about a host of things, such as people letting their emotions & imaginations run wild & people faking it! Knowing the moving Gods Spirit in our lives is not about having our "i's" dotted & our "t's" crossed! God often moves in mysterious & wonderful ways!

Drunk in the spirit is Scriptural. What is it?

I’ve had the power of God hit me many times. Sometimes though it’s yielding under his presence laying in his presence and listening and letting God do his work and even speak to you. I’ve also Been healed under the power of God of a incurable lung disease. In a big church that this guy doesn’t like. I’ve had many wonderful experiences with the Lord in churches and at my house all alone. Don’t put God in a box saying what he can and can’t do. I hope this guy isn’t just wanting to criticize everything. Seems that is all his message is.

Because a lot of things are not directly in the Bible, it does not mean it is not of God!!

Being slain in the Spirit is legitimate. It is the Glory/Presence/Weight of God's shekinah Glory. However, there are fakers and counterfeit copiers of this that aren't legitimate. Be careful of what you discount/dismiss/speak about and against.

So is your whole argument based around rejecting something because it doesn't match your interpretation of the Bible? I don't think you were valid in rejecting similarities between the Old Testament dedication of the Temple and the Holy Spirit ministering in us as living temples of the Lord through Jesus Christ.
