This technique also works for the Asus model S500CA which is very similar to this computer. Also, unlike the X751L, the S500CA has a slot for a memory stick.

Thanks a lot Dude. Good I saw this video. Otherwise I would break my laptop base. Never expected the top keyboard section come away. Mostly of the laptops allow to take out base cover separately.

Mine Y751LD on it's motherboard has some strange fixating thing "H5016" right in front of fan so I can not remove the motherboard. I liked this notebook so I wanted to check if I could revive it with Linux Mint which test show that notebooh has no faults and gave green PASS but it shuts down right when the system has to boot. I guess the motherboard is fried. If I could only remove that H5106 thing.

Hi, do you recomend doing thos in an hp Envy x360?
@leorek5945 Жыл бұрын
When taking the top off, there will be resistance, like you have missed a screw in the middle of the back cover. This is because there is a hidden clip between the HDD and DVD drive, right next to the motherboard that resists. The only thing I found to unclip is to use gentil brute force.

Hi pal, good video. I have a problem after disarming a X555Y model. I put everthying in order and seems to be fine. The problem is that the speakers are not working, but if plug any device (usb headset, 3.5mm smartphone headset) it works correctly. I have reviewed the device manager and it's not showing any problem with sound drivers. Although I have updated them all, trying with one or another there is no sound. I think I disconnect something inside. Thanks for your reply

At 6:50 what is that white thingy that looks like it connects the keyboard and the "motherboard?" Cause like I opened my laptop cause i kept getting the blue error with the sad face and i accidentally pulled too hard, laptop stills works but the drive name "data" was gone. And the blue screen is because of the "data" too since after the restart it was gone but when you shut it down and opened it again it's gonna be there but after a few seconds it freezes and then blue screen

Hi Eda; Laptops are sometimes promoted as having replicable video cards, but I have personally not seen a single one since Intel was making complete laptops in the mid 2000's, soooooo I doubt it. Not on this one, but even if a laptops gpu can be replaced its usually not without risk of breaking something else. So its imo not worth it.

i have to change ram to my asus x751. can I know if it can contain 2 modules or only 1? thank you
@p0tat0es_nation644 жыл бұрын
I think that x751 series can handle only 12gb of maximum ram. And there's only 1 removable ram slot. The second ram is integrated to the motherboard. So the only upgrade that u can do is to add a 8gb ram.

The back cover of my ASUS laptop is secured so tightly, it is literally impossible to take it off.
@Dani-il-el.Krech22 жыл бұрын
I followed the video while I was removing the back panel from my laptop, you said that it might be removable from the front if it doesn't nudge from the back I did that, but it was actually just the back cover, so by opening the laptop screen with the cover half way removed, I broke my hinge on one side, thank:/
@URTechDotCa2 жыл бұрын
Wow. Hinges are strong, so if it broke there must have been some previous damage (or you took a crow bar to is... I doubt).
@Dani-il-el.Krech22 жыл бұрын
@@URTechDotCa it's the plastic screw that gold the small metal penal that connects to the hinge :/ I closed the laptop back seems to be working But I'm concerned that something might break soon

Thanks for the video! But now my keyboard doesn’t work after opening the laptop, but the mousepad does work. Does anyone know what could be the problem?
@URTechDotCa2 жыл бұрын
I would pull the back off again and check the keyboard connector cable... perhaps you knocked it loose. Also, you can try to use an external USB keyboard to confirm it is not a software problem
@chiyouyachan2 жыл бұрын
@@URTechDotCa Yes I’ve found the problem! The connector was indeed loose, because apparently there is a clip to hold the connector in its place. Thank you so much!

@URTechDotCa3 жыл бұрын
It does take some force. Try a an old credit card. In my case (pardon the pun) I have gone so far as to use a small flat screwdriver to separate plastic parts that are clipped together tightly. My logic is, if I am going to have to toss the whole unit out if I don't get it open then I might as well risk a little damage. Thus far, I have only bent and scratched a few items and never actually 'broken' a laptop or hard drive during disassembly. Thanks for the comment!
