Yowie sighting QLD on the Calgoa Creek bridge in the Wide Bay which is near the township of Biggenden and Woolooga and is bordered by Glenbar state forest and Grongah national park. The audio report comes from a truck driver who was traveling along the Woolooga Brooweena rd in the Wide Bay region of Queensland Australia in January 2021. Truck driver Peter is stunned to see the large creature jump off the bridge to the creek below, a good 30ft. We have researched the location and this video will not only provide the report as Perter gave to us but also give the viewer a good understanding of the location in which Peter has his encounter by showing various aerial views and ground video of the Calgoa Bridge site. It's commonly believed that the Yowie #yowie and Bigfoot #bigfoot are similar creatures and you can read about what a Yowie is on our website.
Please keep in mind we are using AI audio for this account in our first audio report. It's just a trial of new technology as we are looking at ways to present some fascinating sighting reports when witnesses don't wish to narrate their own reports. We appreciate any opinions on this. We are not totally sold on the technology, its not bad but doesn't quite capture all the nuances of the spoken voice. let us know what you think :)
Visit the website blog via the link below to see a detailed account of this report with an immersive 360 virtual tour of the location along with photos and links to other sightings in this very active region of Australia plus the Yowie sightings map.
Don't forget to subscribe to keep up to date with our future Yowie sighting reports and remember, If You See Something, Say Something, and email us john@yowiesightings.com or visit the blog page for this sighting report yowiesightings...

Many years ago we lived near the blue mountains west of Sydney backing onto thousands of acres of bushland and national park. Our neighbour, who lived about 400 metres away, called one night telling us there was a huge thing walking on two legs along the boundary fence. He was scared and warned us to arm ourselves and lock the house. We couldn’t see through the bush between the houses. We lived next to that family for many decades and he was so honest I’d bet my farm on him. I believe him to this day.

Thanks for the details Tiddles A!! What an amazing place for Yowies is the Blue Mountains. So many sightings and encounters over the years and I don't doubt for one minute your neighbor's account. If you can remember the location and the year we can add it to our sightings map page. You can email us info@yowiesightings.com if you wish. Cheers, Susan

Thanks Dougal. It does require a fair bit of work to investigate a sighting location and then record it on various mediums so we can present it to people in an interesting manner. We are contually working on using new technologies and interesting ways we can present the sighting reports we receive. Thanks for your interest :)

I had my own encounter in 1982, while leaving the small village of toorbull, Queensland. After a weekend at my family beach house. Toorbull road is and was a rather lonely stretch of road at night, after rounding a bend, a car was oncoming, so I dipped my low beam, after it passed, I went back to high beam, emediantly to my left a very large figure covered in hair standing on two legs turned and ran into a swampy area, it all happened so fast, I did not tell many people as they just smiled and said ohh come on . And never believed me. I will never forget this moment.

Hi Geoff, thanks for sharing your encounter. Its greatly appreciated and helpful. I totally understand you not discussing it with people and very few people will ever give someone the benefit of the doubt when they see these things. I know Toorbul well and its interesting how many people have had a similar encounter to yours in that area but we havent had any reports sent in that are any later than about 1987. I guess development has gradually caused these creatures to move which is why they dont get reported anymore. It would be great if you could send me an email with as much description as you can about what you saw and how far along the road you think it may have been. Our email is info@yowiesightings.com. Cheers, Mitch

Thanks, Dave, good to get some feedback. We have been trying some different technologies for these reports. Many of the people supplying the witness reports get pretty shy when it comes to recording them, which we understand, so we thought we would try this as a way of telling their stories but we may go back to us telling their stories. Really appreciate your input, Dave! Cheers, John

Hi Zali. We really appreciate your feedback. We are trying out some different ways to present the reports we receive and present them not only on our website www.yowiesightings.com but other social media platforms like this one. Unfortunately, not everyone wants to do a recorded interview or account and we thought we would try some AI speech and see how it was received. Going by the feedback I think we'll be using real voices in the future rather than AI voices. Great to hear your opinion, Zali, and we hope you enjoy our journey to learn more about the Yowie.

@@Yowie-Sightings Hi - as an author interested in advertizing my books on the internet, I've been interested in using AI technology but until recently the AI voices have always sounded artificial. Now I've just discovered that quite large improvements have been made inasmuch that the computer- read voices are extremely lifelike and even have inflections! So much so that I'm now looking to use this technology myself! Now, to your work - I must say that I'm extremely interested, and would also like to know what, if any, sightings have been made up here in North Queensland?

Hi Kres, thanks for the comment and you make a good point but as we mentioned in a previous comment the driver told us he was driving an older style cattle truck used to move a few animals between properties. It didn't have a dashcam. And just on the topic of dashcams we wonder how many people check their dashcams are recording. We know of several situations in recent times where dashcam vision wasn't being recorded when people have seen things while traveling. Check your dashcam memory card at regular intervals!!
