To seriously consider these being an undiscovered species, likened to Gorillas but walk upright. Obviously without a doubt they'd be more closely related to us than any other primate. It took thousands of years for us to walk upright. Which helps the argument for them being so elusive, you'd have to assume they're very intelligent. BUT great apes and humans have very similar eyesight, which includes poor night vision. The majority of stories happen at night, it just doesn't make sense. The likely hood increases the reality behind these stories being people have seen something briefly at night, couldn't make it out & their imagination has gotten carried away. One thing can not be denied, we've all met someone who lied

Hi Pete, thanks for sharing your thoughts. We've played around with some AI voicing to get some great stories told which we have from witness accounts. We are also not 100% sold with AI but its been an interesting process to get involved with. We would like to find someone to narrate the stories but don't have anyone that can do a suitable job of it for now but we will keep searching. We could pay someone but we are all volunteers in this and we don't make money from what we do on the channel or from our research. Regards from the Yowie Sightings Team.

Hi Philip, thanks for the comment. There is no absolute proof that the Yowie has taken, killed or eaten people but there is anecdotal evidence through indigenous stories of them taking women and children. There are also witness reports of aggressive behaviour such as bluff charging, stalking etc. While they don't seem to be intent on humans as prey we strongly advise people that encounter the Yowie to move away from the area in a controlled deliberate fashion and not run as this seems to trigger a chase response.

@@4x4andfishing we could have definitely done this but unfortunately, our guide found it first and had handled it which meant it had contaminated dna if there did happen to be any from the yowie present. A good lesson for others that may find Yowie evidence. Samples need to be handled with sterile gloves and stored in sterile containers or envelopes. In fact, anything used to move a sample must be sterile and even breathing on a sample can contaminate a sample. There have been cases in America where claims have been made that Bigfoot dna has been found giving certain conclusions about the origins of the creatures only to find the samples had been accidentally contaminated with human dna. Of course they are assessing the situation; they are reading your energy vibration 🎶. Of course the Yowie has to calculate the next move; as they chose to reveal itself to you. They want to know how you're going to react? 🤔 They are intelligent & advanced enough to practise inter-dimrensional time travel; so reading energy vibration & observing human behaviour must be second nature for them by now. Perhaps "scarying" academics is an activity that brings them a laugh or two?🤨 🤔

Its an interesting point you make Cornish Family. While we have many sighting reports where the creatures are seen in the distance without any further interaction we also have a large number of reports that describe aggressive behaviour when there is closer contact. We dont know whay this occurs, it could be a territorial reaction in relation to its feeding grounds, it could be a reaction to protecting its own kind/family. No one really knows but its safe to say that many close encounters do have aggressive behaviour and should be avoided, particularly if alone.

@@ix-Xafra your first paragraph is so ridiculous and untrue its actually difficult to rebut. Are you being sarcastic? Do you really think gender is a social construct derived from a "rape fantasy domination" mindset? People can identify however they like to, but comments like this are polarising and frankly you yourself are promoting a radicalised perception of reality. You are inflating and isolating characteristics of certain individuals and speaking Asif, it is the foundation upon which the existence of gender - and use of language is defined. I never hear people calling out people who identify as female for things like this. He assumed it was a male, most likely from its build and cadence, assuming he grew up on planet earth, he probably subconsciously identified an unknown creature with gender due to a few things. Its physical build (8ft, large muscular build, its demeanour, aggressive, far far more stereotypical in men than women.) All historically masculine traits. At what point do you think a (implied) male, domination rape fantasy played into his intrinsic survival instinct of identifying if what he saw was a threat (male) or not. Because that (or possible mating opportunity), is the only reason for gender identification in a fight or flight situation. Logically your lizard brain is going to take priority over some learned patriarchal behaviour in said situation.

@@Aeoniik rofl. You want me to take you seriously when you cannot even spot tongue-in-cheek satire. It's a pisstake on the woke narrative and actually makes more literal sense than the rabid tirade you've attempted to scold me with. Stay in uni with all the the other soyboys who spend their day making assumptions and getting triggered and let us grownups wipe your arse, boy... Ps. I think you meant 'conflating' not 'inflating' - you have an inflated sense of intellect and superiority. Reread your verbose rant when you're sober!

@@chriscoast2coast1207 I have collated the numbers from watching the videos on You Tube and they are 90% from the city. And city people think they see all sorts of crazy things. None of the bushman and graziers out here have seen a Yowie. It's usually the unemployed and welfare recipients who see these mythical creatures.

When you hear one of these at night, and all you have is a small campfire for light, the LAST thing you think of is grabbing a camera. Me and my mate grabbed our camp knives, fully expecting it to come into the light of the campfire. Scared the shit out of us. It all happened so quick.people have asked since, "you sure it wasn't a pig, or deer" etc, but we both expected a 'big foot' to appear, the crashing, splashing sounds, and heavy 2 legged thumping were massive. This happened to us in about 1985-6. I only discovered this channel about 2 years ago, when one of my students started his channel, looking for them up at the Watagans. I don't particularly want to se, or hear any again, and I go bush all the time.
