Cali is a great city. I’ve been there 4 times now. Always lots to do and very nice people. If you return go check out Cristo Rey for very nice views of the city. Just came across your channel keep up the good work.

I actually really liked Cali for the few hours I stayed there I liked it so much I missed my flight home 😂😂😂😂. And well as a brown person in Colombia I feel more at home than I do in South Carolina but I’m from Venezuela 😂. But yes in Cali I felt really at home there I loved the weather.

Yes, the weather is nice! In the second Airbnb we stayed in the apartment actually remained a good temperature all day because it did not get direct sunlight most of the day. - And, the diversity is HUGE in the city, I stick out so much in Bogota its crazy, people just stare at me, that didn't happen in Cali much at all. How much longer did you stay in Cali after missing the flight? ~Jonny

@@lifetheorycouple I was there for another 6 hours haha I spent almost a whole day there before I flew to bogota and then back to Miami. I was telling a friend that I wanted to stay but didn’t expect them to grant my wishes like that 😂😂.

We found the food scene good! But, we must admit, we think that the food scene is even bigger in Bogota.

We have visited Colombia 5 times to go birding and next month will be our sixth visit, but our first time in Cali. I found the video informative and helpful but would also add that just an hour or less from the San Antonio neighborhood are half a dozen places to easily see many of the beautiful birds of Colombia. Colombia has more species of birds than almost anywhere in the world. Don't miss them if you are in Cali. They are spectacular!

One of these days we'll grab some binoculars and do some real bird watching. With the amount of different types of birds in Cali, I would say Villaviencio was about the same as well.

First Comment? I like the way you guys produce your videos, they all sound very family orientated and I like that. This time though, I want to ask you why you did not edit the video to show more of the city? I am Caleno and thanks for liking my city.

(Jonny here) Great observation! - Honestly, the month of May was challenging, so we lacked the effort in going around filming stuff. - I was conflicted with making a video on Cali because I knew we had very little footage of the city. I would have preferred to have more to show myself… But I felt it was better to make something rather than nothing. - Your comment is motivating! I’m keeping you in mind and heart as we go around making more content. We do appreciate the honest feedback. - Side note, what’s the best place to do a salsa class and see a salsa show in Cali? - Also, do you know any hikers who could take us up Pico Pance?

We love to hear that! We enjoyed our stay. The food was good and that was the highlight for the two us. We also took a day to hike Pico Loro and that was super intense.

Just ceiling fans would really go a long way!Oh I see you have a ceiling fan. In Medellin where I live very few places have. But Cali is a bit hotter. I am lucky I have one in the master bedroom. Food is amazing in bucaramanga. By any chance while there did you go the the huge canyon there? Amazing water park on rim of canyon with beautiful vistas everywhere!

August! - It also makes a big difference which way your apartment faces. Since that apartment had nothing blocking it and faced west, it was just sun all day. It got really hot inside. - In regards to Bucaramanga, yes, we made it to Chicamocha Canyon for a day. It was great!

Can you give me an average monthly cost of transportation using a combination of taxi and Uber/Lyft?

We spent about $178.00 USD in transportation services during the month of April 2022 which included some bus rides between cities/towns. This included taxis to and from the mall/grocery stories in Bucaramanga, a drive to Florida Blanca and Giron, and a few rides within San Gil... So, I think this is going to depend on how much traveling and experiences you want. But rides were anywhere from 8,000 - 25,000 COP on average depending on length of drive and time of day. - I hope this helps!

It is an exotic city with a very Good food and juices and salsa life. Beautiful and sexy women. It has beautiful reserves, a lot of birds and culture life. It has too hot temperature and humidity.. It is not safe at night. Cali is the city with more black people in South America. The good thing is to go to expkore the Pacific, the Calima Lake, the mountains and beautiful.magic towns.

to live the best city in the country is Medellin because it is officially the #1 city in quality of life in the country, its climate is perfect that is why it is cataloged as the city of eternal spring, Medellin is the mecca of the Latin American music industry It is the mecca of fashion and the textile industry of Latin America, it is the industrial capital of Colombia since 8 of the 10 largest companies in Colombia are from Medellin, also in 2013 Medellin was cataloged as the most innovative city in the world, In 2016 Medellin became the only city in all of Latin America to win a "WORLD CITY PRIZE" awarded by the government of SINGAPORE, a prize that is considered the NOBEL OR OSCAR of cities, and in 2019 the WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM designated Medellin to be the only venue in all of Latin America for the fourth industrial revolution, even a few weeks ago TIMEOUT listed Medellin as the third best city in the world to live and visit, you definitely have to visit Medellin in August to enjoy the flower fair or in December to appreciate the best Christmas lights in Latin America.

We do like Medellin, we've been a few times pre-pandemic. - Although there are tons of stats showing Medellin to be one of the best cities in the world. We have a hard time deciding which is better, Medellin, Bogota, or Bucaramanga... They're all unique and provide certain conveniences that really boil down to people's preference. - For example, Bogota has several amazing hikes that start in the city, and they're all patrolled, easy to get to, and very safe. Medellin and Bucaramanga don't seem to have the same convenience of safety when it comes to their hikes in the area... Bogota is cooler, but if you compare the weather to both Medelline and Bucacramanga, which is much nicer, they're nearly the same. But then again, when hiking, the cooler whether makes a huge difference. So, it's all about preferences. - Interesting insights, thanks for sharing!
