I coach skiing in the winter. Taught for 13 years through ski resorts before breaking off on my own and taking a lot of my clients with me. I charge 600 per day (but that'll go up next season) and am mostly booked out before the season even starts. I make between 10-15 k each month depending on how many days I take off. I only teach low intermediate and up, mostly kids. So I'm mostly skiing bumps, park, powder or trees. I also get to bring my son with me whenever he has days off so I coach him while I'm coaching the other kid/human.

I'd love to also know for context what your housing costs are, because yeah, that sounds like pretty good money, but a lot of CA is pretty high cost of living!

Expenses are out the roof these days. Probably don’t even get to save much but I hope you do.

Proof that getting certified and/or licensed in something makes a huge difference in income. Smh, I wish classes in certifiable skills like this were quick to complete and low cost. The time it takes and the price make it hard to switch from a job to a career/profession/craft.

If you want to do it because of the money, you may end up not loving it, many Nurses are miserable too even if they get good pay. Intentions matters in life Good luck. Many carers are fulfilled and favored with good job with good pay too, it depends on how good your heart is towards whatever you do, that's how you get and enjoy the blessings from that career.
