I coach skiing in the winter. Taught for 13 years through ski resorts before breaking off on my own and taking a lot of my clients with me. I charge 600 per day (but that'll go up next season) and am mostly booked out before the season even starts. I make between 10-15 k each month depending on how many days I take off. I only teach low intermediate and up, mostly kids. So I'm mostly skiing bumps, park, powder or trees. I also get to bring my son with me whenever he has days off so I coach him while I'm coaching the other kid/human.

She also has to pay for copays for medical treatment because most healthcare is not free in the U.S. even for healthcare workers and likely has to pay back student loans for nursing school and with her pay, she likely lives in a bigger city with high rent and home prices.
