@@combatsportsunited4123 If you want to know the knockoff here it is: E.T Dragon PVS-14 Night Vision Monocular Goggle IR Outdoor/Hiking It is on Amazon. I must warn you, it is stuck at 2x magnification which is why I didn't invest in it. Nightfox Swift on the other hand has 1x magnification but it covers both eyes. All these digital night vision devices have 30fps so I do not recommend running in the dark with them under any circumstance.

@@combatsportsunited4123 most of these are no-names. By "Chinese copy" he meant an IR camcorder like the CoD NOD in a plastic mold made to resemble the PVS-14 body. Not a bad solution, but the battery life is always terrible with these and so is the refresh rate and resolution. The only good thing about it is that you can record whatever you see onto an SD card, but I'm really not sure why you'd wanna do that in airsoft. You get what you pay for, nothing to get excited about. If you want one, just search around on amazon.

Most of this is true but also, Sionix cameras really struggle without ambient light, and you can actually aim down sights under nods so long as you have a nv brightness optic(cant use iron sights at all though).

@@tavish4699 It's called the EyeClops, mine is in storage. I took a 3 dollar walmart head lamp found in the outdoors section, un-soldered the regular LEDs, replaced them with an IR LEDs from Amazon. The lighting cost maybe 10 bucks total. You can also do this with a flash light.

Kinda late to the conversation, but remember, not just a flashlight, an IR flashlight. A normal one will make the NVs obsolete and turn you into a walking lightbulb, while the IR one will turn you into a walking lightbulb for everyone with night vision.

You could probably buy a corrective lens if you can’t take the magnifying lens out

get a wilcox dovetail mount and remove the mount that came with this and modify the housing to accept a dovetail mount so you can mount it on your L4 wilcox

topshotz11 ideally best quality possible for as cheap as possible, looking at an atn x sight scope for about 550 right now so just trying to compare other options for the moment

So my honest opinion is you should save for gen 2 or 3 but if you cant the scope your looking at will work for hunting because you don't need to hide the illuminator. Now as alternatives ghosthunter gen1 and a illuminator should work you could technically even put it infront of your day scope if you get the right size rail riser anyway best of luck bud

Only with the dark edition! You might find some on places like ebay but they will be from the dark edition still and probably listed for a lot higher as they are quite sort after now

@@hatepurrpp2651 sure! The hardest thing is getting the angle right as there is a little bit of depth perception involved, but it's something you could get used to fairly quickly.

Yep the goggles themselves work from IR lights so a separate illuminater will work fine.

I was able to turn them off by sheer luck I think , it seems that the button is getting stuck inside or something but yeah I wish that was as easy as getting a new pair but they sold out of this collectors now so I cant exchange it, also I sold the game and the steelbook, that's also a problem, I have open a ticket on the activision website but its been 4 days now and I didn't receive a reply yet. I still want a replacement tho so ill keep trying

That shouldn't be an issue mate, it should be similar to the long range button, push in and release, the mode button is more of a solid click but the long range and power buttons are different.

You would probably need to do some modification to attach it to a helmet, the straps would need to be cut away for a start and you also may need to modify the mount itself. I don't have a helmet to look further into this unfortunately.

Badically those red dots you see. Thats the infrared. If you were in war or something and the other people had nvgs it would look like you had a flashlight headband. You would stand out very brightly to them. Expensice ones use infrared without giving ur position away. But for 200 these are good for airsoft or maybe shtf. I mean how many people have nvgs and how many would u plan on running into

Mice I have it it’s pretty cool but the goggles stay kind of far from eyes so it makes it difficult to know where I am, for an extra 100 dollars it is a nice collectors item to keep on a desk for sure tho

Mice I never had a real nvg, all I know is that it’s labeled as a gen 1 using infrared so it’s not that good but it does function in pitch black environment with the ir setting that lets you see clearly at a range of about 50-60ft probably. It stays about 4 inches if not a little more from your eyes so it kind of feels like using a psvr or something (again I never owned a pair of real ones but I’m assuming they would be closer to your eyes for actual use).

Nah, they're gonna do an actual panoramic set of NVGs, something that only specials forces use because the concept is so expensive.
