Many companies will scam people in America, saying fiber optic, even though it's not symmetrical or 1 GB. I bought a 1gb speed from Xfinity and later realized it was only a 50 MB upload. It's shit they do that stuff.

That’s insane I’ve never heard of this, I got scammed with getting 1 gig and was told it was my nic(network interface controller ) but mine is rated up to like 10 gigs I always get in the 900s and get told it’s bandwidth

I had no issues with Spectrum or frontier, but the place I moved to only allows Xfinity due to contractual obligations. So I'm stuck with them, and although the ping is great, the speeds are bad and inconsistent, and they also let me pay for a gig for almost 6 months without telling me I wouldn't get it because the equipment isn't suited for it. Then, one day, a customer service rep let it slip, and I told them they needed to reimburse me for the last six months, and they were trying to fight it.@@dartlinfps
