okay so like i feel for carly because one week before we left for the quest which is like rec cheers worlds i dislocated my knee cap. i hurt it the friday before the week we were supposed to leave. on friday we were doing jumps and i landed wrong and i felt a pop. i didn’t want to say anything so i continued with practice went home and then went to dance class the next day because i also dance. then i competed on sunday with a dislocated knee cap. i still had no idea what was wrong. me knee swelled up like a balloon after i got of the floor. i was afraid to tell my coach so on monday my mom set an appointment with the chiropractor and he felt around my knee and he told me that he thought i tore my acl. so he sent me to the local emergency place in town to get an mri and an X-ray. the doctor in the emergency place said that i tore my acl. then i went to a knee specialist. meanwhile this was all on the monday before we left for florida. he felt around me knee and said that i could be that i tore my acl but he needed to see the x ray and mri first. he then talked to the chiropractor and they came to the conclusion that i dislocated my knee cap. all three doctors said that i shouldn’t go to the airport let alone compete but i told them that i had no choice and that i’ve worked to hard for this to not go and compete and that i couldn’t let my team down knowing that this would be our last performance in history because our coach was retiring. so i went to the chiropractor every day until we left for disney. i competed. felt it pop in and out a few times. after i got off the floor i almost collapsed. but we beat all four teams. got first place. beat all of the level one teams there and got rings. now there’s a possibility i might need surgery but i’m happy that i competed because those girls are my family and i couldn’t let them down. so we cried together before we got on the mat. cried together when we got off the mat too. not because we thought we didn’t do well it was because it was our last time together as a team. it was an experience i’ll never forget. when i walked out of the arena all of our fans had found out that i was injured and they all were screaming mvp. and that made me the happiest i’ve ever been. i love my team. it was our year for redemption.
