In Vienna, he was a private student of Anton Bruckner. He received the Goethe Medal for Art and Science in 1940. Composed 2 symphonies, chamber works, piano music, vocal works, songs etc. Wrote a book "Recalling the time with my teacher master Bruckner".

Great to hear this. Another forgotten Viennese composer worthy of revival. I'm mainly familiar with the name Kamillo Horn because of his support of fellow composer Max Jentsch. Horn was co-founder of the Max Jentsch Society/Association with August Duesberg around 1908(?), which literally helped keep Jentsch - who was living in dire financial circumstances at the time - alive. Their music seems very complementary in fact, with Horn's being perhaps slightly more harmonically adventurous. Thank you very much for posting this.
