Camp Fire by an Icy river

It's January 2024 and it's minus 3. I headed out for gorgeous hike through the snow and ice up Teesdale and the Hudeshope Beck. The waterfalls were frozen and icicles were everywhere. Lunch was had by a camp fire on the side of the beck. Blue skies and sunshine made it all the more worth the effort. Enjoy!

Hi Dave. That video for me has got to rate as one of you're best and there have been so many quality one's.. Just loved it so much perfect scenery and the little wren came to say hello. Sorry that you still suffer with the back and man flou this year has been rife l think most people have had it. But spring is round the corner and you can't keep God's work at bay. Big thank you. 🙏🙏

Thanks Brian, my number one fan lol. So glad you enjoy my hikes. I managed to get out for a wildcamp this week , so will edit video soon and upload. And hopefully I'll be doing another bothy camp soon. Watch this space. 👍

Hi Dave another great video love your stuff..Beautiful location perfect for a camp..Ive damaged my ankle so dont want to go up mountains..Any chance of the location where you had your fire please? Teesdale isnt far from me..Cheers

Thanks for watching mate. Sorry I won't give the location. But get on Google Earth and put in Middleton in Teesdale. Then look for an area that fits what you saw on the video. An hours walk at most, you'll find it.

@@davesgreatescapes no bother pal..I find the County Durham side of Teesdale awkward to camp with the Raby Estate and all that..Did me ankle between Langton Beck and High Cup had one hellova painful walk back to me car..That's the only real reason I asked for the location for an easy ish over nighters.. Cheers
