I decided to test out the OZtrails Genesis 4V Dome Tent in the rain. Even though it's an entry level, budget tent, it performed pretty well. I never treated the material with any extra water proofing or sealant. If you like this tent and are keen to grab one for your self, the cheapest option is at Anaconda Stores in Australia. If you do not live in Australia, you can buy it online from other retailers.
In this video I also do a bit of a review of the Matata DOC campsite and some extra storage solutions for the Jimny. The extra storage for the Jimny is in no way comprehensive, its just a few extra space I had on this trip. I loved this short trip, Pip and Edwin were 2 of the best campsite managers I have met, super friendly and helpful. There are a number of bush walks in the areas and activities nearby. If you camp here, all sites are unpowered but there is a small grocery store that is 5 min walking distance from the campsite.
The rain I experienced was mostly light to moderate with short periods of heavy rain overnight.
Ive also introduced Luna, our puppy and Jackson (aka WeeWee) our Tabby cat.
