To celebrate 1 Million subscribers I went out to camp on the Canada/U.S. border with Crazy Neighbor. There was a trail going right to the border from the campground and plenty of stealthy camping spots around the border. We ended up getting a little more extreme than originally planned.

Back in 1980, my uncle and a buddy went on a long-distance snowmobile trip in Maine. After travelling on a long markerless trail for several hours, they came out of some woods to open space with a hill to their left that had a cabin on top of it, smoke coming from the chimney. They rode up there, knocked, and a lone fellow inside invited them in to warm up & have coffee. They told him they were lost. He asked where they'd come from. When they told him, he said, "Well, for starters, the US is about 30 miles back in the direction you came from. This is New Brunswick." A different time. 🙂

For anyone who is interested, the Dan Smith on that bench grew up and resided at the Chief Mountain Family Ranch in Babb, Montana. He died in 2020. How his family was able to get approval to put a memorial bench there is anyone's guess. The family probably just put it there and no-one has bothered to remove it. He didn't seem to be a prominent figure in any respect as he just drove truck, worked construction, and did cowboy stuff on the family ranch. He died young at 60.

I am truly afraid for Canada. Castreau is a disaster worse than Trump & Biden put together. *No joke.* A lot of Canadians are just too supine to see it. It's rather remarkable. *Your country is very quickly becoming a totalitarian fiefdom of the WEF.* Best of luck. Enjoy the bugs & pods. I used to be for "sensible gun control." Now that I've seen Canada & NZed & Austrailia & Britain I'm starting to think the murder rate is a cost worth paying.

Quite incredible. Your a great man Steve, a true man, that’s honest and kind and compassionate, that takes care to figure out each person he meats to best accommodate them. You never ask for likes or subscriptions and if you do it’s humbly and without arrogance. I hope you find peace man, I know you will hold Jess near and dear FOREVER, please don’t stop yourself from feeling any kind of way, and don’t hold back your grief. Much love from British Columbia. It's not risky really. I've seen > a baker's dozen baker's dozen black bears on foot (200+, though some were no doubt the same bear.) Been between a mom & cubs twice. That's to be avoided of course. The real think you gotta do is *cook away from sleep spot, do toiletries away, and hang your food & toiletries 20' up 6' out.* Bears are super cool. I love seein' bears. You are WAY more likely to get injured by deadfall than by bears. WAY more. Watch out for those widowmakers. Also black widows & brown recluses & poisonous snakes. All more dangerous statistically than bears.
