DG Overlanding camped at Jabula Bush Camp. Private ablutions - no power - hot water. Jabula is in the Dinokeng Big Five (5) Game Reserve. The campsite is unfenced, has private ablutions, hot water from gas. There is an outside shower. Fire pit, braai and level sites. Jabula bush camp and Dinokeng big 5 game reserve are in Gauteng province of South Africa, not far from Pretoria and Johannesburg.

Thanks for this. Staying here is on my future list of things to do. I live in the Free State and if it were not for the numerous reviews of campsites on the Internet I would never have known about the numerous bushveld venues to the north of Pretoria.

Hi Casper. Yes I still have many reviews to go - there are so many really nice bush camps north of Pretoria. Will keep us busy, if we can afford the diesel, for a while. Kind regards DG Overlanding.

@@DGOverlanding With regards to fuel prices, for the longest time I had been considering different trailers. Then it dawned on me that it is madness to tow up to a thousand kilograms behind me when a 50kg tent, stretcher and camping table can be loaded into the vehicle. Instead of costing up to a quarter of a million rand, altogether it will cost less than R30,000 leaving a lot of money for getting away many times a month.

Really thinking about going but only issue is I have a GTI, will it make it on the dirt roads?

Hi. You will have no problem in getting to Jabula with a GTI, in my opinion. Also most of the roads in Dinokeng should be ok, but all depends on the rain they have had. We have not been to Dinokeng for a few months.
