Hey Bob, We use a battery tender for the 7KW generator starting battery in our Solitude. The charging system for the starting battery for the gen is notoriously poor and has a tendency to overcharge... Great video. Hope more folks pay attention...Thank You for making it. 👍💖 OLT

Never let the CanAm charge a dead or low battery that had to be jump started. You can burn up the stator which is about a $3,000.00 repair job at a dealer. Things they don’t tell you when you buy.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but watching the video it didn't look like you even needed to remove that battery retention clip at all. It looked to me as if you were able to access + and - terminal screws with the clip in place.

You might be able to do it without removing it but it made it a lot easier to access the terminals.

Just curious how you know the amperage rating is enough for your battery? Is there something to look at on the battery that lets you know which battery tender you should get? Thanks

So the battery tender is for a single motorcycle battery. We did a lot of research to make sure we were getting the exact thing that we needed for our Can-Am. But I do not believe there's anything that tells you on the bike that information. I'm sorry this is not normally one of our types of answer. Usually we have a more detailed answer This is what we have today. Thank you.

Thanks, has it worked ok since you’ve had it? I just bought a 2022 Spyder F3T and want to buy one to maintain my battery during this winter and during times I’m unable to ride. Thanks for your replies.

@@Brute750 for us with us being full-time RVers if we keep it plugged in in the garage in the back and we do that a lot of times when we're traveling or sometimes when we're in places where it's super cold or if we're not going to be riding it for a while because it is so cold which was never our plan lol. But hopefully you have seen in our videos. We have been writing like crazy. Yes, worked very well for us. We've never had an issue with it. Thank you so much for watching this video.
