I feel *you missed a pretty substantial fact in this video.* Alcohol begins boiling around 173°f whereas water as most of us know boils at 212°f. Useful to know if you're trying to redistil spirits (legally where applicable), but also useful to know *why* if you tried to cook the noodles without a pressure cooker you'd likely just end up with regular, non-alcoholic noodles.

As someone who enjoys a good bloody mary, I actually think alcoholic noodles could actually be pretty good when prepared with the right sauce. That said, I've yet to try it myself. I plan on updating this comment after experimentation, and if I come up with any pleasing combinations, I'll be sharing the recipe.

There is something to be saif for proper alcoholic pasta, in my humble opinion, which is something of an Italian delicacy. Parmigiano Reggiano (ideally, stravecchio, to match the taste of the grappa) in the form of a wheel is opened on one of its sides. Instead of being cracked open. Then grappa is poured in the side of the cheese and set alight, molting the cheese and hybriding it with the grappa. Then hot pasta such as linguine is poured inside the cheese, and stirred in the motlen cheese and burned grappa. And is then served as is. While some of the alcohol is definitely lost in the combustion, residual alcohol can still be found, sometimes in large amounts, depending on when you choose to stop the combustion. And in all cases, the pasta definitely has a clear alcoholic tang to it. You should try it some time.

Pasta cooks at about 80°C (175F) or above, so _technically_ you can cook it in alcohol as it boils at 79°C (and vodka is mixed with water so it goes a bit higher) :D

I know i am very late to this, but coming from someone that regularly makes pasta dough from scratch, i’m pretty sure it’d be pretty damn easy to make the dough using alcohol instead of water/ eggs and then you can use whatever sauce you want and chances are, you probably wouldn’t taste the alcohol as much
