When I was younger I used to add alcohol on my markers when they dried lol and I was surprised because they worked better... Now I understand hehe

Love the idea been doing it for years with all my makers sharpies included. Just a helpful tip to your drip method. If you put a little rubbing alcohol in the lid snap it back on and let them sit upside down. The marker tips will natural absorb the rubbing alcohol and your good to go. Using isopropyl alcohol will "break" a lot of the dyes used in Crayola's inks (meaning it will separate them into the individual colors used to make the shade). Furthermore, there are issues with alcohol and water (which is what the Crayola marker ink is based on) not mixing as well as you might think they would, which can cause strange spotting and stuff. It's often used to make cool effects when using acrylic paints, but might not be so pretty when trying to get a smooth blend in the middle of a drawing. Your best bet is to let the markers dry completely (like, for at least a week) and then rehydrate them using clear Alcohol Blending Solution (which can be purchased in a large bottle for pretty cheap). The solution also has the resins and other things Copic and other alcohol marker companies add to make them relatively permanent on slick surfaces. Even with all that, though, nothing is the same as a hand-cut Copic nib, which is where a lot of the price comes from. P.S. The back end of the Crayola marker pops off (I learned that using the Marker Maker with my kids). Take that off and save your nibs from destruction while also pushing the dye colorant toward the nib when you're rehydrating the marker with the Blending Solution.

I'd recommend taking off the other end of the marker which I do believe comes out, That way you don't risk destroying the sponge tip.

I showed this to my gray crayon Its now a colorless blender

Just so you know, with pliers you can pretty easily remove the back plug of the marker and remover the whole ink sponge and probably dry and fill it more easily!

First off, love ur channel! You and Jazz’s are my favorite. I’ve seen people do this and even make their own alcohol inks. I took it a step further, and I haven’t seen anyone do what I’ve done… I bought 6 colorless blenders from Amazon for $5 and added my own alcohol ink, thus making them into “copic markers”….you should make a video showing people the same…especially if they are on a budget. I used 91% isopropyl alcohol and sharpie colors from the dollar tree to make my inks and added the inks into the colorless blender making them into custom alcohol markers. I’ll let you know about my future results with future colors using this method including black light and glow in the dark alcohol markers…you rock and I love your art and channel!
