When shopping for an engagement ring, I was told by multiple salespeople that the store would buy back (something one might want to do to "upgrade" their ring to a larger diamond) a natural diamond but not a lab-grown one because they couldn't predict the future value of the lab-grown diamond. Personally it just sounded like they wanted to push for a sale of a natural diamond..

After having a 1carat diamond for 40 years, I wanted to upgrade for our anniversary. I went with a significantly less expensive lab grown, picked it with color, cut, clarity, and got double the size. This company (JA) said they would buy back the lab grown if I ever wanted to trade up in value - either a lab or earth grown . It’s gorgeous in every way, I don’t feel any less about it than my original wedding diamond, and if stolen or lost, was not as expensive. It’s not like the CZ’s of old. And I like not having human lives put at risk or destroying more of our planet- though I know lab grown also produce damage.

I got a 2.5 ct round lab, E color, vvs1, ideal cut for $3240…with setting a total of $3840. I am obsessed with it. The diamond is huge on my hand and it gives off so much brilliance and fire, it’s insane! Trading in a diamond for something else is so dumb. Whether it’s lab or earth, you’ll never get back the value at the jewelry store. Just create a pendant necklace or find a matching diamond to create a new set of earring studs.

My fiancé loves the idea of a diamond engagement ring, so I dug in to do my research a little while ago. Was able to find a lab diamond merchant that’s transparent about their margins, which resulted in a final ring that was 50+% cheaper than similar styles and cuts on the market. I think we’ll see prices fall a decent bit more before finding an equilibrium in the diamond market… but what do I know? I’m just a dude on the internet 😄

Of course lab grown diamonds have no stored value and are produced in mega size factories as production has grown to more than 21 million carat. Lab grown Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire, Alexandrite, Quartz etc have reached its market equilibrium and has not effected the natural mined market value, so the assumption is the same for factory made diamonds. At this point in time, there is market hype mixed with marketing money as the factory grown makers and sellers are making a lot of money. And that money is in China and India.

1 carat = 200mg not 200 grams. Big difference. A 200 gram diamond would be 1000 carats and worth, um... a lot.

I’m shocked with how long lab grow diamonds have been out, video titles are still “Is it real?” 🤦🏽‍♂️. I’m sure by this point, many consumers know lab diamonds are real diamonds. Too many people buy them to dispute the claim

Diamonds are the biggest "scam" in history. Not the shiniest, not the most briliant, not the most "fire", not even as rare as gold. It just happens that few hold their hand on the industry. Just like Bitcoin where few hold almost all of them.

Lab growing diamond have no value the only person would buy back if you luck is the store you buy the diamond because 1 carat lab diamond is very cheap I can get very cheap the store make big profit on lab diamond 💎 but lat say you got in a life emergency you can sale your natural diamond single stone i will start making video to benefit people a natural diamond you can sale anywhere remember buy 0.50 carat and bigger from experience
