In your explanation of the why the bay area is so expensive, you're missing the elephant in the room... Rent Control!!! and it "Unintended Consequences"

My local airport (a very small one which only connects people to the nearest big city airport) used to (or maybe still does?) host events like weddings and corporate banquets on site.

There was a little more to the story of three engines. FAA rules also would not allow a twin to cross oceans because they still did not trust the reliability of jet engines, and, of coarse, the old rule had not been updated yet. FAA is not quick to make changes, just look at how long it took to start allowing computers to dominate the industry. They are now at least 10 years behind the auto industry.

The video is a bit tilted towards Airbus. Let’s not forget the 757 and 767 outsold their European counterparts. Also the 777 was and still is a stellar success. And yes, let’s not forget about the MAX and the pitfalls of modern Boeing. But, just because Boeing is a modern failure doesn’t mean they always were. It’s a stretch to say the US created Airbus. ETOPS would have become a thing eventually, no matter what… Let’s also not forget that the precursor to Airbus created the Concorde. America was caught with its pants down and banned SST flight over the mainland. And that did prune pre-Airbus quite a bit. This video is just ehhhh. The A300 might have that nice special rule.. but it was also a mostly DOMESTIC aircraft. Not international. It’s range charts make this pretty clear…

The Salt Lake City airport also has the PDX model of food and beverage businesses. A lot of the restaurants in the airport are well known local restaurants.

Brilliant analysis. The EU too is wanting to ban Chinese EVs. Only the rich can afford an EV. The poor will continue driving their diesel car...

I iwas impressed until I heard about the supposed Flannery lawsuit against land owners for price colluding. The irony is that the whole Flannery development vision appears to be built on collusion; such as stealth purchasing of large tracts of land with boasting to investors of exponential gains to be made on this project; but a lawsuit against landowners who would like to be included im those gains; which is only right if multigenerational farm land is rezoned for another purpose. This project apoears to not have anything to do with affordable housing, but rather the manafestation of someones vision of how others ought to live, power their lives, and get around. That's probably why the stealth land gab for pennies on the dollar, and the anger manafested in a lawsuit when the secret of the land grab was out. It's hard to get something for nothing, once folks realize its true value. And being this land is not even zoned for the planned plan use, farmers and generational land owners not only have a right, they have a duty to get together, to discuss all aspects of such a massive project, including land value and potential sales. Suing to put what amounts to as a gag order, in order to keep land owners from gathering to discuss all aspects of such a community changing project, appears to demonstdate bad faith on the part of those heading up this project.

Let's be clear, these aren't just "cars" - these are basically driving iPhones. The amount of data collection going on (where you drive, how fast you go, what places are popular, etc...) is not really understood by most people. Additionally the sensors aren't limited to GPS, they're literally anything inside the car, the number of passengers, what people say, video feeds of what's inside and outside the car. The value and danger isn't the car itself or the cost - be real here. This is a misleading naieve video.

If prices went up, that is not going to discourage developers unless they are seriously overpriced. Unless this Solano county can offer 50 cents on the dollar, I don't think anyone is going to move there. By the time they build it, prices will be even more wild. But I can see how a Czech guy with GS would be into this. :-)

This is a great video. I’ve followed OTG as a frequent EWR flyer and I appreciate the depth of the background. And it’s great that you kept this quality informative video under seven minutes. I don’t know why everyone is making 30 minute long KZfaq videos these days…

yeah lets ignore one inconvenient fact about BYD...they have had 10 cars catch fire in their showrooms in the last 3 years. you do NOT want a chinese EV with a chinese battery pack. the fire rate compared to Korean or Japanese cells is astronomical. you don't want ANY chinese ;lithium battery, be it EV, EBIKE, E-scooter, power tool, etc.
