A funeral has been held at a Roman catholic church in the Occupied East Jerusalem for veteran Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh.
She was killed by Israeli forces on Wednesday.
Shireen's grave lies next to her parents' in a cemetery near Jerusalem's Old City.
She was shot in the head in the Occupied West Bank while covering raids by Israeli soldiers in Jenin.
But before the funeral sevice, Israeli forces attacked mourners carrying her body.
As she's laid to rest, how can Palestinians use her death to highlight Israel's crimes?

Palestinian militants killed journalist and blamed Israel for it. In a last war in Gaza endless amount of Palestinian civilians were killed from Palestinian rockets that landed in Gaza and killed civilians. But Palestinian blamed Israel for killing innocent civilians despite the fact that those civilians were killed by Palestinian rockets

So bold courageous caring and helpful Justice must be done for what they did to her. It did look horrible, but al-Jazeera did not give the beginning of the story. The family had originally planned that the coffin be transported inside the hearse. The hearse driver was threatened with his life to relinquish the coffin, so that the thugs can carry the coffin, for public display purposes. The Israeli police belted the coffin-holders because they had no right to hijack the coffin, and against the family's wishes.

The raid in Jenin may not be disconnected from the fact that the youngsters that butchered some jewish people in cold blood were from the jenin refugee camp. It was a very tense situation on that fateful day. The bullet that killed the lady may have come from either side. I sraeli soldiers don't target press people. Anyway, it's unfortunate she paid the supreme price like many other jewish people. May her soul rest in peace.

It is not the public that you need to focus, it is the global leaders that need to start to act. No human life should go through this no one no Christian no Jewish no Muslim specially when they are going to put the person in rest. I don't believe the majority of Jewish people think what their government did was correct

I didn't originally realize how aggressive the Israeli cops were with the pallbearers because on American TV they aren't focusing on that much. The story isn't getting anywhere near the attention it deserves, but unfortunately the American public gave up on the Palestinians when Arafat rejected the Clinton Accords. So now stories like this don't really resonate like it should.
