I can agree with that. I have been around for 57 years and by experience can pretty much predict in general what a child or adolescent is thinking in many given circumstances. However, we can sometimes get this completely wrong. Satan was very confident that he knew how to bring Job’s relationship with the Almighty to ruin, but ultimately had to concede.

Very, very true. I know this first hand..I even did a test to see if he could read our minds. The devil couldn’t, but in my test God verified he himself could. It was a simple prayer test. I prayed aloud and had a nightmare..I prayed in silence and asked God for a sign and he gave me it. Never get any nightmares when I pray in silence, but I do get sleep paralysis when I pray aloud. At least I used to. Its nonexistant these days, but it was stronger like three years ago when I did the test.

I've thought about this as well. Though I would say that this shouldn't keep us from sharing our struggles with others out of fear of the devil. That can keep us living in fear of the devil and maybe even struggling to beat temptation without accountability.

I wonder why God set everything up in a way that would allow for Satan to be able to take notes on your weaknesses. Isn't that strange that Yahweh allows Satan to mess with everyone? I am eternally sealed and have instruction on how to deal with Satan's influence, not that all influence belongs to Satan we have our own thoughts to guard as well by focusing on God rather than the flesh. I read ur comment, I brought up freedom because you brought up God allowing something. Freedom to resist/reject the enemy, is very present while walking in the spirit. Of course none of that is possible if God 100% blocks Satan's influence. God is the refuge we need, but we need to receive that shelter. But the question isn't "am I that transparent" that makes for easy manipulation, but rather "why are we so transparent"? The answer is, the basic nature of the flesh. And it is through this that the proven tactics used to ensnare the mind of man have always worked. Satan doesn't need to understand your personal weaknesses to entice or derail your walk, just needs to apply the same general tactics that affect humans and eventually you'll fall for one of them [see Gal 5:19-21; Rom 8:6-9]. This is why we are encouraged to walk in the Spirit [Gal 5:16], because to do so elevates the mind about the desires of the flesh, and as such, makes us resistant to the Satan and his tactics [Gal 5:22-26; Rom 8:10-17]. Our minds our the battleground and if it is set on the things of the flesh, it is mastered by the one who manipulates the flesh... If set on the things of the spirit, it is mastered by the one who guides us there.

I posted that because it would suck if there was a god, there shouldn't be anyone with that much power that supposedly loves you let people die of diseases like cancer and covid and all that crap, or a god that literally told people to kill a bunch of babies. You're right in a sense but Jesus definitily did give us authority to cast out demons in His name. Its His power and we cant do it without Him, but we have the authority to use that power. Ive seen many people who had demonic possesions drop to the floor, manifesting when the Name Jesus was simply proclaimed over them, until the spirit left. We can do no such thing on our own, but Jesus gave us authority to do these deeds in His Name.

As I've posted already, our spirits are in the spiritual realm. So is Satan/demons. They can indeed hear our thoughts. There are no limits actually listed in the scriptures, of the power of a fallen angel. Satan even controlled the weather in the book of Job to the extent that specific people died. There is even a scripture that says many demons were inside the spirit, of a certain man. And He was asking him, “What is your name?” And he said to Him, “My name is Legion, for we are many.”

So, that means that either Satan is smarter and more powerful than God, OR Yahweh simply felt like allowing his arch enemy to tempt his beloved, perfectly nubile, innocent creatures... (which is definitely unfair of God to do, since they didn't know anything worldly, and certainly didn't possess the capabilities to make a fair assessment of whether or not doing what God told them to do was a good idea... since they didn't know the difference between Good or Bad to begin with). Therefore based on all of this, it seems like you're saying that God planned to have a powerful, demonic being unfairly tempt his children. The second, but not quite how you seem to be explaining it. True love always holds the possibility of no love. If you truly love someone, you give them freedom to leave you if they want. The fact that they CHOOSE to stay is part of love. God did allow Satan in the Garden of Eve. He loved humans too much not to give them a choice. He could have made robots if he really wanted to, but He wanted beings with a free will that still choose Him. That's why He allowed Satan to tempt Adam and Eve. They had a choice, and they made their choice, taking humanity with them. But even after that, God was full of mercy, and gave them and others another way back to Him, through His Son Jesus Christ.

It's as if you are not really considering this in a very serious manner. The way you wrote your explanation sounds like you think that two, completely fresh, unworldly, unknowing human beings that are perfectly created by a perfect loving creator God would actually be able to make a real decision about two outcomes as they are posed in this story. Adam and Eve do not understand the concept of "Good" or Evil"... They have not yet been updated on the concepts, since there are no other people there and they have not eaten of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. It's pretty clear that these two individuals should not be held responsible for making a decision between "obeying god" and "not obeying god"... Obviously this is the first time they have been tasked with this sort of thing, since nowhere else does your scripture mention that they have been forced to make the "correct decision", or suffer unsavory consequences. Therefore, these two people are not at all to be expected to make a clear and reasonable decision about fruit, trees, gods, devils, serpents, etc. They just are not able to do so. And god knows this. And even though he "tells" them what they "shouldn't do" --- still, the concept alone is a foreign one. If you cannot concede this, then I will be left to conclude that you are avoidant or simply not being emotionally intelligent or intellectually honest. So ---- here we are ---- God tells the kids to do something they have no way of even understanding, and here comes the serpent. The angel. The fallen angel who is now something else that is far more powerful and knowledgeable than the tender, innocent, children near the tree. And you think this is a fair and reasonable set up whereby disobeying the petty wish of an all powerful God in this instance is worthy of a harsh and long lasting punishment for not only the innocent kids in the garden, but also women giving birth, kids with cancer, and anyone who gets raped. Really? Are you the type of dad who will yell and scream and beat up your daughter when she takes candy from a stranger even though you told her not to? It's like that. It's like you unlocking the door so the really smart and crafty 20 year old can come in and tempt your daughter with candy... and you getting all mad at your daughter for indulging. Really? Satan is real and tempts people in gardens where the ruler of the cosmos is hanging out and has his children's well being at the forefront of his thoughts and efforts? Wow. It's a dumb story. Free Will doesn't fix this. If you use free will as your trump card, then you're simply saying that Yahweh favors the Free Will of the rapist over the free will of the victim, EVERY TIME the rapist is successful. Because logically, if you want to pretend that the rapist will be punished when he dies - well, first, you have no evidence for this being the case, and also - you would be arguing that God prefers to have more harm and pain exist in his universe than less of it. A fallen angel is a wicked or rebellious angel that has been cast out of heaven. An angel would be considered a fallen one when an angel refused to serve Christ.

I agree - the devil definitely reads your mind. As you know, you are fallen, sinful, broken, and innately wicked. So, of course the devil is going to be able to access your thoughts and read your thoughts "all the time" as you stated. How could anyone think otherwise? The devil loves to access the weak, fragile, worldly brains of losers like you. I hear about it all the time from Christians. I think it's kinda like Yahweh just can't seem to get what he wants. Yahweh felt unfulfilled for some reason, before he created anything. He was somehow imperfect, since he obviously wanted, and/or needed to create something --- such as the cosmos, universe, world, and human beings. Obviously, God is needy and emotional since he requires people worship him in order to feel like his plan is working out for him. It's very apparent that Yahweh can't get what he wants, since when he does create, his creations don't do what he wants them to do. Satan, 1/3 of the other angels, Adam and Eve, and all the humans thereafter (since he decided to drown all of them and start over). It's very apparent that all of these beings understand very well that Yahweh is real and has preferences he wishes to see manifest. They know God is wrathful and really really seeks adoration from his human creations. However, for some reason... God just doesn't really receive the respect he claims to deserve. Obviously Satan is more powerful than God, OR they have some weird behind the scenes deal whereby God allows Satan to be a rebel and mess with everything.... whatever the reason is.... It's very very apparent that God desires that it be this way. So ------ yeah. Satan. He must be real, because what else explains all of this Christianity stuff people keep talking about? It has to be real, because it's so logical.

Knowing what we know at this point in time, Satan is a loser. In more ways than one. If we look back towards the beginning, we see Adam and Eve with a minimal understanding of God. They had no idea of God's power as far as I can tell. They had little if any fear of God, or they wouldn't have sinned. I don't have a good answer to your question though. Maybe Satan didn't know God and His power as well as he thought. Maybe Satan thought he could be the ultimate ruler in all universes. Once he started on his foolish path, his choice has been sealed. He won't be forgiven, so that's out. He can't show lack of resolve or some other demon will take over his position, and Satan will have to serve him, with the humiliation this would bring.

He does not share his glory with anyone…like nobody. When Peter healed the man in front of the beautiful gate by God’s power(Acts 3:1-9), what happened… the crippled man glorified God. Why wasn’t Peter like “woah, stop did you not just see me heal you, why are you glorifying God alone?” Matter of fact he probably refused the man praises. Ezekiel chapter 36 verse24- 32 God explained how he would purify Israel and bless them but he wouldn’t do it because of their sake but for his own name sake so that he may be glorified. No man is good not even one to share God’s glory. That’s why God didn’t make salvation works based because then we would boast, filled with so much pride to start thinking we didn’t need YAHWAH and we would glorify ourselves . I thank God that it’s not by my own power when it comes to salvation but by his riches of mercy and love he has saved me. And if I may ask why didn’t God tell us this in his word, that we share his glory ? Maybe he did but I haven’t seen a scripture like that before Instead he says he’s a jealous God and that he does not share his glory with ANYONE?? Does that mean God is confused or a lier ? I am not sure about that, but I can tell you, since I have had a demon in me, that entered into me as an INFANT when my mom and sister were killed in a car accident that I too was in, that any negative activity that this person does IS the demon itself, NOT the person...even though it SEEMS that it is the person doing the activity. Remember when Peter said to Jesus rewarding him going to the cross, "Lord! Lord! May it never be?" - And Jesus said to PETER, "Get behind me SATAN?" - This is a prime example of how Satan is deceiving others to think that it is the person that is doing all this, when in fact, Satan is unknowingly speaking through others."

God is eternal, meaning there was a time when nothing existed but God. In God there is no evil. Therefore, good must necessarily be capable of existing without evil.

I feel like it's natural for us to think so. At least until we've read the Bible and have the understanding that one is a created being and the other is God. Even after I'd read through the New Testament the first time I still had some pretty wild ideas about Christianity.

As I stated I've read through the New Testament and still didn't have it straight. As for the claim that God has done more harm than the satan, you all need to formulate a better plan. One thing I hear from you is "if God is good/perfect why doesn't he wipe out evil?" So in the Old Testament He does wipe out entire barbarian towns who burn their children in the name of created beings when they aren't out murdering or doing their typical cannibal stuff and then you complain at me about it. Jesus rose from the dead. Read the Bible if for no better reason than to try antagonizing Christians on youtube. I had a similar hobby once, you may be called too.

@@deadvikingtrolls The bulk of my knowledge came from the bible. At one point, God drowned the whole earth to fix his own screw up. He also knew he was going to do this beforehand, so instead of preventing, he just murdered everybody. Even the newborns. Same with those barbarian towns. Satan never came close to anything so vile. By "angel" I'm assuming you mean a spouse. God may not have answered your prayer yet because you would put that spouse above Him. I would suggest you get some counseling from a Bible-based pastor or teacher.

@@2ndPigeon A prayer for mercy, as an example, is a request made to God for mercy. Since God is sovereign, He can give that mercy or not.
