Indian Coal Industry needs a lot of million dollar changes such as 1.Upgradation of coal miners uniform for both men and women.The miner's uniform should not only have hard hats with LED lights but also be comprised of extremely strong face shields, oxygen cylinders,gloves,suits and boots in order protect them from injuries in their dark work place 2.Surrounding every coal mines of India with Carbon Capture Plants for solving the problem of carbon emissions from burning of coal fields. 3.Introduction of robots in certain spots of the coal mines which are sensitive, prone to collapse or impossible for humans to reach so as carry coal mining operations more smoothly with lesser chances of accidents 4.Making room for Graphene Mining in coal mines and coal gas power stations in order to make full use of the excess supply of carbon

I am from Jharkhand many here are millionaire just by smuggling coals , many of these labourers are operated by local broker who buys it at dirt cheap prices because it is basically free here but these brokers accumulate tons of coals from hundreds of these small scale labourous and then sell it to local bricklaying businesses or local steel businesses .

Fret not. Coal will not disappear. It is too cheap as an energy source. Only IEA believes that countries are truly committed to get rid of the black stuff.

People who are concerned about these manual labourers need to realise they are not being employed by the coal industry, but exploited by it. If coal shuts down these labourers can easily find another job in any other industry. India is a booming economy with tons of jobs elsewhere!

It is time to abandon environment harmful jobs and choosing eco friendly ones

Just transition will happen and these people will get the jobs and it will have better working conditions. Those fishermen in the video earns 4000 to 5000 rupees per day that is around $48 to $60, in the US many workers earn $80 to $120 a day, exactly double before tax. But the living expense is way lower in India, rents go for 8000 to 15000 that is $96 to $180 a month. Meanwhile in the US even though the income is exactly double, the basic living expense is at least 4x to 8x than that in India. Rents start from $800 for a studio in mid tier cities, lets not even start with medical. Food and clothing is exactly double which are the only living expenses that is comparable, and clothing is replaced by internet in the survey rankings. Ambani's revolution has helped India with affordable 4g internet on their phones, but he have said the prices will go up, which makes no sense, is he asking for gov subsidies? Just something to think about, housing prices and medical prices in the US are unsustainable in the long run.
