I did Mont Blanc from St Gervais and truly not that much experience nor equipment required , except to be able to stand up to all the local guides who think THEY own the mountain and try to push you off if you’re not with one of them!!!😂😂 BUT on the other hand , we had nothing go wrong and THAT’s when you need experience and equipment of course!! I just realised that that was 20 years ago , omg!!🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️😂😂

Wow, cool to hear that you went up there! Mind you in 20 years some of them glaciers have retreated so much, so I wonder how different the route up you did is today vs when you did it. would be interesting to know, can you go and do it and let me know 😅 I bet that is a great memory and experience that you will keep for your life. can vouch, French guides are the worst, going next week aswell to Cham! Also Marc you dont really see much retreation when youre on either the trois monts route or the normal side as you start round the valley somewhat. If you head upto the mer de glace though, its crazy how much that has retreated, even in 10 years since my first trip

@@runningwithmarc Yeah as Paul said, no glaciers from Saint Gervais les Bains, and of course much longer than from the Aiguille du Midi, clearly. Even 20 years ago the glacial retreat was shocking ... the walk out after skiing down the Mer de Glace was just shocking even back then!!

Do you know why it's really annoying to watch your videos?! 😅 I cant't stop staring at your wrists, maybe Marc has a new upcoming Suunto watch on his wrist! 😂 also in this video, at first I thought you might have some mysterious new Suunto watch with white band on your other wrist, but it seems, its another Vertical... By the way, how does your wife think you having two (or multiple) watches on your wrists? 😅 Mine feels sometimes embarassed, if going jogging together somewhere public and if I have watch on my both wrists (I like to test different sport watches), can't really understand why. Even Diego Maradona wore watches on both wrists 😅😂 Thank you for nice videos and showing these amazing views over there! Have a nice vacation! 😊

Hahaha 😅, that was funny to read. You know it's quite a tough thing to balance, being involved with future products/sw and having a KZfaq channel. But yes as you noticed it was 2 Suunto Vertical devices. Always good to test and see if there are any big differences or new sw. I was quite impressed with the altitude from both devices. Wearing 2 watches almost feels like not wearing enough sometimes, so maybe Emma thinks that 2 is already less embarrassing than wearing 3-4 😂, that's maybe what you need to do, start wearing more so that 2 is almost normal or less of an embarrassment. @@runningwithmarc Thanks for your wise advice! Definitely have to try this! 😅 Next time going for an easy evening run with her, couple of Suuntos on wrists, Oura ring and maybe some action cameras also! (and hope she loves me enough) 🤔😅
