How To Travel The World For FREE ?
In the minds of wanderers like us there are only two types of thoughts - One is how to save money while travelling or how to travel for longer periods of time. And that is why Volunteer travel is an option that is godsend
So, a few days ago I finally decided to look for a destination for my maiden volunteering experience and this brought me to an organic farm near Ooty that I found on Workaway. Platforms like Workaway, WWOOF and Worldpackers essentially connect local hosts with volunteers from all over the world. The idea behind this is work exchange where volunteers give their time helping around the place in exchange for accommodation and food

What an amazing location! I am guessing this must be near emerald lake / pykara. Anyways lets not reveal the location here 🙂. But the video is amazing and i loved this concept of volunteering travel. Volunteer travel seems to be an innovative mode of travelling..It is akin to Barter system of older times, wherein an item used to be exchanged in lieu of another item.Here your accomodation is provided in lieu of service rendered.If one has passion for solo travelling and wants to stay for a couple of days, volunteer travel is aptly appreciated.Host , Mr .Vishanth looks to be a very nice companion..He has given freedom to do work as per your convenience.. Hey Abhishek, wondering if your team is deep researching topics around ‘enhancing discoverability of YT videos’, and optimising your description section accordingly. If your description section is well optimised, it will help figure amongst the top search results for the relevant KWs, and heat map of the search result page reveals that 90% users tend to click on the top 10 results. Ex: I searched ‘top bloggers in India’.

Some examples: 1) Recently you uploaded video on Agra, but the search result page on YT with KWs ‘travel to Agra’ doesn’t throw up you video. 2) you created an entire series on Kashmir, however your videos don’t show up on ‘travel to Kashmir’ search result page. 3) likewise on other destinations, like ‘travel to Shimla’, etc.

And then an example of great success: your Landour videos! Somehow search result page for ‘travel to landour’ has 7 of your videos in the top 10!!! And rightly you have close to a million cumulative views on Landour videos combined. Goes on to show - YT for some reason largely isn’t promoting your content to organic users (who aren’t already your subscribers). And when it did, it’s helped you gain awesome traction (ex. Landour).

YT isn’t a human with its own personal likes or dislikes. It’s run on algos - which others like Tania khanijow, Kritika Goel, etc. seem to understand well.

From content perspective, I feel your videos are highly experiential (and thus we love them), while those from Kritika, etc. are more ‘informative’, providing solutions to aspiring travellers. Now Google has deep tech to understand the subtle difference between the two paradigms, and hence tends to probably promote informative content over experiential content.

Also, KZfaq’s algos do a good job of ‘matchmaking’. They probably started promoting your videos to me because my viewing history probably told it that I prefer lifestyle videos. Others, (maybe larger % of YT population) probably prefers watching ‘educational’ travel videos, hence vloggers such as Tanya, etc. get higher views.
