Everytime I see this video series i imagine a buff Yuna with a barbell instead of her staff saying something like "do you even summon?"

I always thought that Yuna's inevitable sacrifice, the way that they keep it from Tidus, and how it gives way to Tidus's inevitable sacrifice, was altogether some of the best plot points and writing in the series. Everyone other than Yuna knew what was going to happen, and Tidus was understandably frustrated when he realized he was left in the dark, but I think a big part of his growth is realizing how hard something that could be to tell someone. I think Tidus gains a lot from Yuna's stoic willingness to save others at the cost of her own life, and it helps him do so in the end. I mean, he went from one of the goofiest, most childish protagonists, to one of the most reserved and tragic by the end. I cry every time.

This challenge run was fire!!! I loved the way you presented everything and how like positive you were it was really refreshing! Also Yuna doing 9999 damage on a normal attack when tidus is doing like nothing is super cursed and I'm all for it

A little explanation of why Tidus disappears at the end (for those who may be confused): Yu Yevon was a very powerful summoner from Zanarkand and also its leader who, when Bevelle and Zanarkand were at war a thousand years ago, summoned Sin as an armour/weapon to defeat his enemies and also preserve Zanarkand as a summoning. That summoned Zanarkand is where Tidus is from. It existed for a thousand years, just like Sin who sort of was its protector, but because it was summoned by all the summoners/fayth from Zanarkand including Yu Yevon it wasn't actually real. It was just their memories of their home preserved as a dream/summoning. (Btw all those summoner's are seen at the place at Gagazet where you go after you defeat Seymour. It's also called the "Fayth Scar"). So once Yu Yevon was defeated and the fayth were freed they also stopped summoning Zanarkand and all the peope "living" or from there, including Tidus. That's why he disappears. Anyways, enough nerding about the lore! I absolutely loved this series and your humour, can't believe it's already the end, but I'm excited to see more from you in the future!

FYI the reason Tidus didn't say "I love you" back because in the original, Yuna doesn't even say "I love you" but "Arigatou" (Thank you), which is actually way more powerful in that scene looking back at what they've been through.

Watching both Yuna and Lulu doing a lot of damage is probably one of most blursed thing I ever witness

you can hit jecht with zombie (zombie attack, zombiestrike, zombietouch) and his healing will damage him for a round so u can outdamage his healing, its more effecient than killing the yu pagodas everytime since they come back with more hp each time

I'm so glad you have your honest opinion on this game at the end, this game was important to me too and I honestly think the fear of being cringe stiffles us a lot. Final Fantasy X was my first Final Fantasy and was the game that got me into the series. Watching your playthrough really took me back and reminded me how much I love this game. I hope you do more of these challenge runs in the future, because this was such a fun ride

I got recommended this series a month ago and I was oddly invested. The last time I played FFX was probably 7 years ago on PS3.

Hi, hun! This challenge was super fun! In case you're interested in doing more FFX related stuff, there's a super cool mod called the PBirdman Mod who adds new mobs, new attacks, and was crafted with a lot of care and love from very influential ppl in the X community! Just letting you know, as you seem to love this game a lot!

Shame this series is coming to an end, it was a interesting watch. On another note I'm glad you finally used the nul-spells against Seymour. The nul-spells and scan is king against Seymour in his first and last fight.

Love this series so much that i wish you traverse the Omega Dungeon with this settings. Lol

This is my favorite game and this series of videos was a pleasure to watch. It was humorous but gave the credit to the story that it deserves. The ending makes me cry like a baby but it’s earns it. Like they really make you want these 2 together. You go through the whole game seeing them teach and balance each other. Tidus ends up doing the thing he never understood at the start and sacrifices himself for Yuna and Spira. He could have been selfish and left things as they were so the dream would never end, but instead he never once hesitates to break down the system that’s keeping him alive. He even says he’s grateful. Conversely, Yuna learns to think of herself more, to value her life and desires. And I do love the enteral calm thing before X-2 where Yuna can hear Tidus encouraging her to do what she wants. For the first time she can be a little selfish (if you can even call it that). She lived her whole life primed to die young, but now she is learning to connect with herself and what she wants out of life. Just a beautiful journey. I even love the story with Jecht. After coming to Spira he knew the greatest gift he could give his son was the chance to live. To struggle, to grieve, to fail and get back up, to fall in love - to do things he could never fully do in a stagnant dream world. Which is a whole theme in the game - stagnation and rebirth. Just so well done. Anyway I’ll stop now lol. But yeah, I a really fun series and challenge.

With the Seymour fight the things in the background can be hit to change the spells he uses. He's using Firaga so often because they're all fire. If they're different colors, then he'll use weaker spells.

You shouldve put tidus's laugh on the "ha"s from staying alive

The last Seymour fight is actually pretty easy. Wakka can hit the elemental plates making them turn. So if all 4 are set to Fire, hit one plate to make it move to another element. Greatly decreases magic damage for his spells and also I believe he only attacks 3 times instead of 4. Every hit with a blitzball on a plate means the plate moves one element. It is possible to bring all the plates out of sync belittling him in his magic capability. However at some point he will reset the plates so all 4 of them have the same element again. Rinse and repeat

If you attack the coloured circles in the Seymour fight, the wheels rotate and he doesn't do the same spell 4 times!

Really enjoyed the challenge run, poured so much time into this game over the years. I’d love to see what a normal run of the game looks like for you if you decide to make more videos of this game

This was really cool! I'm playing thru FFX again after like 15 years. This was, in my opinion, the best Final Fantasy storyline in the whole series (Yes even better than FFVII). I was heartbroken as a kid when Yuna fell through Titus. It made me spend 100s of hours playing X-2 which I didn't care for- getting the 100% perfect ending so my Yuna and Titus could be together.

I did cry at the end 😂 I cried each time I beat it!

That was a fun run. As for the next series, how about trying to beat ffx-2 without changing dresspheres

Watching this challenge from start to finish has inspired me to do something similar with my playthrough, Though i'm thinking of either putting Tidus down either Lulu or Rikku's and Rikku possibly down Yuna's path.

Suggestion for your next Final Fantasy project, how about making a playthrough of FF12 ZA and having the cast use only their "Canon Jobs". Strictly NO Second License board, Espers and their Upgrades on the License Board and Quickenings meaning you're only allowed using them as follows: Vaan- Shikari Balthier- Machinist Fran- Archer Basch- Knight Ashe- Knight Penelo- Shikari or Monk (Monk is the closes we could get to a Dancer) You could make the argument that Ashe is a Black or Time Mage and Penelo is a White Mage from their Jobs coming from other FF titles. Like Revenant Wings or Record Keeper.

A new season of Drag Race and the last installment in this epic series in the same weekend, my heart can only take so much. You can probably find a wacky challenge to do with FFX-2, or FFXIII with characters on weird off roles? I'll be watching for your commentary on the story anyway =P

Great Series. Thanks for showing it. My only question is, how hard would Bahamut smack with Yuna's 72 STR. Obviously 9999 but yeah, I suppose it would be easier to find out how much STR is needed for 9999 or how early in the story you can do it.
