I'm actually a big fan of bug types, there's just a massive gab between the good and bad ones. Compound Eyes Galvantula is actually pretty powerful, and the ones with Quiver Dance are the big draws (Rabombee, Volvarona, etc)

I was quite surprised that they didn't give Spidops the Bug/Fighting type, especially when Rabsca was a Bug/Psychic type and Lokix ended up being a Bug/Dark type

Yeah, agreed, feels like it probably should have been. That being said, there are a few highly disappointing wasted opportunities when it comes to bug Pokemon, the key one being Yanma/Yanmega - based off a dragon fly, about as perfect as you could get for a dragon/bug typing. then Gamefreak makes it into yet another bug/flying type (of which there were already a lot of by that point). To this day we still have no dragon/bug type pairing at all, despite now breaking into the realms of 1000+ Pokemon. No normal bug type either, and I feel like Kriketune would have been great for that.

I did a bug run in Platinum, hated it. I also did a bug run in Sword and Shield and actually enjoyed myself. From that run, I loved playing with Galvantula, Golisopod, and Scolipede. Joltik is probably my favorite baby bug type. It's really cute.

Bug is actually my favorite type! Love myself a max EV trained Golisopod with First Impression and Liquidation, or Volcarona with Quiver Dance and Heatwave. There is so many ways to deal with bugs weaknesses, and so many ways to X-Scissor the opponent off this battlefield.

I'm not a big fan of the Bug type in general, but diamonds can still exist in the rough. My favorite bugs are the Scyther family, but I also like a few others, such as Heracross, Galvantula, and Ribombee.

I love this because when I was a kid I used to hate bug tipe pokemons thinking they were weak, but a couple of years ago I did a quick "of top of my mind" list of my favourite pokemons for all of the types, surprisingly I could easely remember more "favourite Bug pokemon" than every other type. I was a Bug Catcher all this time and I didn't know. 😂

Great run and I love some of the bugs! Frostmoth is one of my favorites! 28:16 Just wanted to let you know in the ghost gym aurora veil and reflect don’t stack. So you could have just done aurora veil and attacked with forretress on his first turn. Not that it impacted anything. ☺️ love your channel!

i actually like the bug type bc i feel like they have the most options to choose from in terms of strategy. Plus their designs almost never miss. Favorite bug type? It's honestly a tie between Centiskorch and Golisopod. Lokix is up there but not over these 2

I love the bug type, given my real life adoration of bugs- it's a no brainer! Though I suppose in the past I tended to stray away from them since I always thought of them being too frail. I twice evolved my Caterpie and my Weedle and they can't even take more than two hits?? Alas, I've been trying to do more research on how to utilize bug types in battle, videos like these really help me. Oh yes, and by the by, my favorite bug type pokémon is definitely Volbeat!

Imagine if Bug Buddy (not Freak, I’m not rude) said after Nemona, Arven, and Penny were still mean to him at the end: “I’ve had enough! Forretress, blow them up”! And, he also should’ve told Geeta “You’re such a bad champion that none of them would ever invite you to anything, even a proper battle since your team is so terrible”. Finally, he should’ve said after Mabosstiff was healed, he should’ve said after Arevn’s nonsense, “Heracross, cut the dog in half”.

I find bug types really underrated and can find a place on any team because of there super effectiveness against types like psychic and dark. I'd have to say my favourites are either volcarona or garvantula just great typing so very powerful mons.

I love bug types too! Since childhood, I have been fascinated with buggies, and even though for some reason now I'm scared of some of them, I still love bug-types, even if they aren't the best like Beedrill, or awesome like Volcarona. I just had an idea the next time you do one of these. Make that trainer Bug Freak’s sibling. In the beginning they are a nice person and they are looking for their brother and then near the end like 7th badge they find out how everyone treated their brother. When that happens the nice personality is replaced by a personality of PERFECT HATRED! Now they have a new goal: MAKE EVERYONE PAY FOR TORTURING AND BERATING THEIR BROTHER! YES THAT INCLUDES THE MOTHER!

My favourite bug type of all time is Ariados. Can't explain why, I just like it. Rellor is also up there, mostly because it rolls a ball of poop for so long tjat it ascends to a higher state of being

Heracross is probably the best bug type. I don't like the type as a whole, but some of them are really cool. Scatterbug is fun to collect for all their forms. When surskit evolves into masquerade it can be really really dangerous!

Bug types have a special place in my heart. As a kid I was terrified of all insects. Even a fly used to have me freaked out. Then I started playing Pokemon and I slowly grew to love bug types. I can say that bug types helped me get over my fear of insects and helped me learn just how cool they are. Those 17 year cicadas are still the spawn of Satin though. I have a special place in my heart for the Gen 5 bugs. Scolipede, Galvantula, Volcarona, and Crustle are some of my current faves.

Lemme guess, do you live in Tennessee? Every 13 years or so millions of Periodical Cicadas emerge from the ground, swarming everything. This is different from the Annual Cicadas most are used to, which emerge in fairly small numbers and the buzzing they create is just background ambience.

@@origamigamer8990 Solid detective skills 😅 I used to live in Gatlinburg but moved a few years back. Me and my ma still have ptsd from being swarmed by cicadas. My gramps used to air dry his pots and pans, and all you could hear was the pinging of cicadas off of them 😭 Even as a lil guy I had long hair, so they used to get all tangled and stuck making that horrid buzzing noise. @@origamigamer8990 We had to fix up our shed and it was a nightmare. Like something straight outta the Bible. My pa was building and my uncle was using a homemade flamethrower to kill as many of em as he could. Just a swarm covering everything in a layer of nasty. We lived up in the mountains so they were everywhere. You know it’s bad when your neighbors abandon their steel 😂They’re so damn gross! The smell too was a nightmare. I could do with never seeing em again!

RIP Bug Freak, legends say that he still hates being called a bug freak and haunts everyone who insults bug types. Anyways, my favorite bug types have to be Butterfree and Volcarona. Butterfree because of the Nostalgia I get from using it all the time and Volcarona because they are probably one of the best bug types in existence. I'd like to see a fairy-type only challenge on Pokemon violet next. I think it would be really interesting.

Scizor is my fav! not only did I go out of my way to hide a figure of it behind other toys so I could buy it later when I worked in retail, but I also have a pair of Scizor bro's on Violet with the younger to the two being shiny :P

I like bug types. Some of them such as Beedrill and others are mid game beasts due to their relatively quick evolutions. Even if they may fall off later, they provide a lot of value. I named Beedrill by name because it’s my favorite bug, and I loved its mega form!

My favourite bug type is Scolipede, definitely!! I love his design, his movepool, his abilities, hell, he's pretty strong on his own! Although, I want to say that Golisopod is also very good, along with Galvantula and Volcarona.

I really want to see Bug Freak's story continue in the dlc, the people of Paldea will probably try to get rid of him by sending him on a “school trip” to Kitakami, and Kieran is going to go crazy after losing multiple times to him.

I love bug types. In leafgreen my butterfree was an absolute monster who was both a sweeper and a great support, the little guy was almost unstoppable and my ace all the way to the elite four. Gave me alot of appreciation for bug types and I also try to have at least one mon that’s considered bad on my teams because of it
