Funny because I actually coincidentally watched Sonic 2 yesterday on the plane and I got to admit, that art is really accurate to what the movie looked like. The art was a brilliant idea for a work around too, we all know how strict Paramount is about their work so this was a great compromise.

Technically speaking, you could just use the cheat code to enter the debug menu, give yourself all seven chaos emeralds with another cheat code, and then load the death egg level. Heck, if you give yourself debug mode, you can even grant yourself a super form to make the boss child’s play. That way you can beat the entire game before the title screen even pops up on the movie.

I really like this video, its just that as someone whos played Sonic 2 plenty times, it kinda hurts when you get hit on some dumb mistakes, but amazing and entertaining video anyway.

Nice video! What I like to do especially in the robot sonic fight is spin dash in the area he’s gonna land on, because when he lands it counts as like 4 or 5 hits. Then you can just keep hitting him normally. He’ll die quicker.

To be fair about the Sonic speedruns, the any% runs (where the goal is simply to beat the game as fast as possible) use the in-game timer at the end of each stage to track how fast they were, so it doesn't account for load times or time taken to tally up the score.

sonic 2 is definitely not 2 hours and 30 minutes, i know this because i play sonic 2 ALOT and every time i beat it in a hour with all the chaos emeralds. But I would say sonic 3k is 2 hour and 30 minutes with all emeralds.
