I found myself thinking it would be more reasonable for you to use the DDR pad like intended before using your elbows, but I think this video proves that using feet would work just as well without even needimg to test it

His goal at that point was presumably to do it in 3 days. 23 the first day, 23 the second day, and 24 the third day would be 70. He probably meant to say "I need to get [to] at least 46 stars today, if not more." That's how I interpreted it and I didn't even notice that's not what the words he said meant.

It's impressive enough that someone managed to accomplish this but, considering how physically demanding it is, the fact that it was achieved by a hardcore Super Mario fan makes it all the more impressive.
