I agree 100%. WOTC needs to slow down, evaluate what a range of players are looking for and diversify. Unfortunately I've never known them to leave a dollar on the table.

2019 was worse. In 2019 you had 3 starter sets (essentials kit, rick and morty, and stranger things), Ghost of Saltmarsh, Descent into Avernus, Eberron: Rising From the Last War, Acquisitions Incorporated (which is really more of an adventure book), and the all of the adventures that are on D&D beyond that were extensions of the essentials kit (divine contention, etc). Plus a re-release of tyranny of dragons.
