Lovely windchill... -78.9 ° C. Oy veh... The worst single day i ever experienced was Monday, January 19th, 1996, in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Temperature of --43.1 ° C., winds gusting to 80 kph. But as for the wind-chill equivalent that day, never did find out. I think at the time weather reports were still using the older system of heat-loss in watts per square cm. 2700 was essentially unbearable (exposed flesh freezing in 15 seconds or less...)

If the air temp was -43.1 with 80 kph winds, it wind chill would have been insane, I’m guessing high -50s at least!

I suspect that Sable Island NS is actually the southernmost point in Atlantic Canada.

Very Close, but the southernmost point in Atlantic Canada is Seal Island.

It’s the largest lake shared with the US, the largest lake entirely within Canada would be different of course.
