I would advise you to try the study permit route if you have the financial strength. That will enable you to get the teaching license to teach in Canada if you still want to continue with the teaching profession.

I went for my biometrics in October, and signed the contract. The company will provide accommodation and transportation so per your analysis lmia is likely not required

LMIA is a document that is applied by the employer which is used to apply for the work visa. If you went for the biometric then it should mean the lmia has been added to the work permit application i suppose. You should know the details of the application submitted. thank you

Open Work permit is only given to dependent spouses whose principal applicants are already in Canada on a work permit or international student permit. I will tell you to ask the person how will it be possible for him to do so for you. Be careful with such people

If has claimed the work permit on a refugee status, I would advise to wait there a little in order to transition into a Permanent residence of Spain and then get their passport if that will not delay and then visit Canada on that with a Spanish Permanent resident card or Passport if he becomes a citizen. If he is able to secure a job in Canada, then we may assist to apply for work permit for him.

Hello Sir, with regards to the work visa application, I see visitor(work permit) after filling the questionnaire. Please is that correct? Also the employer appliied the lmia without having any candidate in mind . Should the employer update the lmia accordingly or not. Finally the resume that landed the job advertised was so brief and some mistakes were found later on. Can I submit a detailed resume instead? Thanks

Open work permit is not a stand alone permit. You can only apply for it as a dependent of your spouse’s study or work permit. You cannot just apply for Open Work permit on its own

hello sir, i applied a job and they sent me an interview questionair i answered and sent back few days later they sent me email that i have been selected and attached visa form which is express entry guide form. but they did not give me job offer they stated that my appointment letter will be issued to me when i land in canada. am a bit confused about it i need you help please. the company is in prince edward island

What I will tell you is to be very careful with such things. If a job offer is sent to you without you having an interview and talking to a real person over video conference or some sort or even over WhatsApp and just a questionnaire and then they sent you a visa form for Express Entry, then you have to be careful. Google their credentials, names and everything you can check on them. The question is how will you land in Canada, upon what basis are you going to submit an application for the visa? Who will help with all that? What documents are they sending you for the visa? Is the job LMIA supported? Are they requesting money from you for the job offer? all these are questions you should ask. Do not pay anyone for offering the job until you are very sure they care legit company or recruitment company who can help you with your Canadian dream. I do not know how long that will take. Are you talking about the nurses regulatory council or a job offer to be a nurse? The nursing profession is regulated so you cannot just apply for the job and get an offer of employment without the proper licensing.
