Wood Hill Park Model Railway

Wood Hill Park Model Railway

2 жыл бұрын

I show you how I got on with my latest canal build using Woodland Scenic's realistic water for the very first time, also a general update on what I've been doing lately including adding more rolling stock to the layout. This was a very hard to produce update due to the extreme heat we are now experiencing, so building is probably going to have to go on hold through the summer.I think I got heat stroke making this one.😁
Maybe I will do an update on a non building layout related subject.
I try to reply to every comment if I can.
Please keep them clean and constructive though.
Please subscribe if you enjoy my channel, this in turn will let you know when I release another update.
*Subscribing is free and let's me know you are enjoying the content on my channel. Which in turn inspires me to continue with my modelling and the channel making new content. I find it a great way to document what I've done to date and a good way to remember some of the processes/technique's I've used. I do this completely for free for family, friends and a wider audience. I have not monetised my channel and have no plans to at present.*
Thanks for your support, atb Graham 🙂
If you like, you can follow me on my Facebook page for more of an idea of what I'm upto on the layout.

Loving the Pink Floyd sounding music 👍

It's free on the KZfaq music library, I think it's called" The Hours" by Topher Mohr and Alex Elena. Agree a great bit of music that does indeed sound a bit like Floyd. Thanks for watching, cheers Graham 👍

You read my mind, I was going to say about yellow Iris as there is a nice show of them in the canal by me. It is looking great. On the railway by me it's a four track which has weeds between the tracks where the old platform used to be, these can be up to four or five feet tall.

Hi Michael, thanks for watching. Yep it's really interesting studying how nature interacts with the railway network. Personally I enjoy trying to recreate this in miniature. Happy modelling Graham 👍🚂

The tunnel entrance (apature) is about 70mm wide x 70 mm high to the centre of the arch. Dear stuff as it's a German import, but House of Hobbies have it for £18.74 + p&p. Atb Graham 😊

Hi Graham, thanks for yet another ‘no nonsense’ and comprehensive video. As a fellow rookie modeller with a similar eye on era and incorporated features currently being ‘engineered’ into my loft space, the inspiration and ‘have a go’ attitude you (perhaps unwittingly) promote keeps my enthusiasm high!! Keep it up 👍

You’ve been making some great progress recently, giving me some good ideas for my layout so thank you. And thanks for braving the loft conditions, as this time of year usually doesn’t see many updates from KZfaqrs like you with loft layouts, for obvious reasons!

Another good informative video, showing how to do things, with great results… Keep up the good work. Great looking layout, would like to see an overall view and track layout.. x The Bigfella x ps. If you buy a pair of tights over the hose, in the suction chamber, it will save any static grass/sawdust etc that can be used again, plus you won’t loose any people or cars

Thanks, I have done an overall track view, at least a walk around in one of my past video's but it's food for thought to maybe do an up to date walk around. As for a track layout I haven't done a plan as yet but it's on the list. Oh I do use tights (not wear) 😁 when I want to keep scenic material but in this case I was doing a high powered clean to get rid of unwanted dust/left over material. Just thought it lightened up things to mention what went up the vac. 😁 Cheers for watching, happy modelling Graham 👍

Another great update Graham. The canal scene is very life like and the water pipe emptying into the canal is great. Yes, the dreaded vacuum (hurricane) cleaner can be problematic, especially when you have forgotten what is and isn't glued down. Good idea to make a cutting in the embankment for the line-side equipment. Look forward to the next update. All the best. Ian

@WHP1980s 2 жыл бұрын
I think I need to add a bit more detailing here and there. That pipe needs some green slime dripping from it I reckon. To clean. That's the great thing about modelling, there's always room for improvement.😁 Thanks for watching Ian. Cheers Graham 👍😃

Hi Graham. Great update, very informative. Be careful that your graffiti is the correct scale. Check out everade junction as he has done graffiti on his girder bridge sides. Personally I would not do the mpd as it’s next to a main running line, and these areas are well protected from trespass. Cheers John

Hello, nice work on the canal scene. Could you advise where you bought the canal boat from?
@WHP1980s
@WHP1980s Жыл бұрын
Hi Tim I bought the narrow boat from a company called ABC boat hire who do narrow boat hire holidays. It was in their souvenir section of their website. You can buy them all over the internet but this was a cheap untapped resource that I found as it had no link to modelling which made it a cheaper option. Hope this is of help to you. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Cheers Graham 👍🚂
