Your cowboy candy looks so good, I can that as well. I don’t care for them, it’s to hot for me but everyone else loves them. I can the juice that is leftover and use it in salads or dressing. Boy have I been canning , I have dried beans that I have been meaning to can but just didn’t. I am very thankful to have them to can now. I just canned black beans and navy beans. One jar of black beans didn’t seal for some reason, darn I guess I will just have to make some black bean soup or maybe just eat them! Two days ago I canned baked beans.

Oooooo... I’m so excited! I got everything to make a batch today. Nearly passed out from the n95 mask (nobody told me how difficult it is to breath) 😂🤣 I also bought some beef to marinate the meat with the leftover juice to make jerky! Thank you for this. I’m usually a silent observer on here, but you have truly taught me so much. I started canning because of you and Linda. I just did 24 jars of “ugly chicken”. It’s really been fun since I can’t really go anywhere. So a big thank you to you.

Burgers, hotdogs, or anywhere you’d use relish. Incorporate it into your favorite BBQ sauce, serve with pulled pork or brisket. Add it to salads instead of dressing. It’s a great addition to charcuterie boards. You could even add it to chicken or tuna salad.

Otherwise you are actually cooking it shorter, as the heat does not reach the core! QUESTION: What do then do with Cowboy candy? What do you serve it with/on?

Just a quick ? I canned cowboy candy yesterday its the first time that I’ve canned it. I am an experienced canner. But when i looked at it today to clean the jars it almost seems as if there is a little bit of air bubbles in the jars. I also canned the left over liquid and there are no bubbles. Is that normal for cowboy candy or what did i do wrong? PS jars had no siphoning. Same levels are in the finished jars as what went in the canner(water bath)
