Cane went after him when his back was turned. Dru disarmed Cane while Cane had a gun drawn at his face and did so in mere seconds and had him dead to rights, refraining because that's his brother. Sorry, how could Dru NOT go toe to toe with Cane? If Dru kept his damn emotions in check, Cane wouldn't be anywhere he is now.
