Canelo initially vacated the WBC middlweight title because he didnt want to fight GGG. Mexican fans called him a coward so he took PED's. Canelo is a good fighter without a doubt but he's a cheat. Yeah,” said Hearn. Hearn is assuming that the casual boxing fans in the U.S closely follow the sport enough for them to know about Canelo’s two positive tests for clenbuterol. I don’t think that’s the case. The casual fans only have scant knowledge about things like fighters testing positive for drugs. The fans are too busy living their lives, working and keeping up with other sports, like football and basketball. For most boxing fans, they likely will never know about Canelo’s two positive tests. It’ll only be the hardcore fans that know about Canelo’s positive tests, as they won’t hold it against him if he doesn’t continue to test positive for clenbuterol in the future. However, if Canelo’s physique looks the same as it did in his previous fight with Golovkin last September, a lot of boxing fans will suspect that he’s PEDs. Canelo’s physique looked different in his fight with GGG than it had in the past, and that’s what caused a lot of fans to suspect that he was using performance enhancing drugs. Social media was on fire with speculation before the Canelo-GGG fight last September that Canelo was using, but he tested clean during VADA’s testing during training camp and after the fight. There was nothing the fans could say. I’ll run the risk.’ Maybe a life ban is what’s needed to eliminate drugs from the sport. I’m not shocked by the six-month ban. Are you asking me is it outrageous? It shows a lot about boxing,“ Hearn said. If it’s believed that PEDs can take a fighter to another level, you can bet that struggling fighters will want to use the drugs to try and beat fighters that they normally couldn’t if they were natural.

Idk why people haze canelo for losing to bivol. Bivol is much bigger than canelo, but pound for pound canelo is better than him. Bivol is no slouch at all, but I wouldn't rank his technical skills or power as high. They also have to take into account their different styles. Canelo favors the mexican brawl, but he's incredibly slick in the pocket since the mayweather fight. Bivol is a stick and move, in and out fighter.

@@killerrmaaniac Floyd will be hard to surpass due to the record and since he beat canelo but I do think canelo is a much better fighter now then he was when he was 22-23 fighting floyd and in part he’s better because of that loss. I think it’d be a different story though if both in their prime faced each other. But we won’t be able to see that unfortunately.

I think Julio Cezar Chaves was able to have an 89-0 until he lost to Randal. I think, but I could be wrong. Still, Chaves was humble about it and was never bragging about it.
