Terence Allan Crawford (born September 28, 1987) is an American professional boxer. He has held multiple world championships in three weight classes, including the WBO welterweight title since 2018. Previously he held the WBO and Ring magazine lightweight titles from 2014 to 2015; and the unified WBA (Super), WBC, IBF, WBO and Ring light welterweight titles between 2015 and 2017. In August 2017, Crawford had a short reign as the undisputed light welterweight champion, prior to moving up to welterweight. He was the first undisputed champion at light welterweight since Kostya Tszyu in 2004. Crawford also became the first male boxer to simultaneously hold all four major world titles in boxing (WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO) since Jermain Taylor in 2005, and is one of only six male boxers in history to do so.
As of November 2021, Crawford is ranked as the world's second-best active boxer, pound for pound, by ESPN, third by Boxing Writers Association of America, and fourth by TBRB, BoxRec and The Ring magazine. He is also ranked as the world's best active welterweight by ESPN, BoxRec, and The Ring, and second by the TBRB. Crawford was named Fighter of the Year by the Boxing Writers Association of America in 2014, and by ESPN in 2014 and 2017. Stylistically, Crawford is known for his exceptionally fast hand speed, ring IQ, punching power, counter-punching abilities and defensive skills, as well as his ability to comfortably switch hit from orthodox to southpaw.

That is actually an excellent description of Bud. I love Bud, but something about his boxing has always concerned me. But you're right his power shots are powerful, his speed is fast, his counters counter. Even when he's notably pissed, you see it in his face, not his boxing. He becomes even more Agent Smithier

@@maximusmarine that’s not really true. He has a habit of getting drawn into firefights and stop boxing methodically. He catches himself sometimes and refocuses, but it happens. It happened in the Shawn porter fight a few times.

@@newwarleans Porter and Brook were already other fighter's left overs before Spence and they both gave Spence hell. Crawford has won against more undefeated fighters at WW than Spence and Spence has been there his entire career.

One thing I like about Crawford is how he manages distance. He knows how to catch his opponents at the end of his punches without over-extending himself, and everything from a rhythm....Poetry in motion.

Bud actually throws wide punches, but shortens them with his body movement. It's very crafty. Gives the advantage of throwing wide punch without the weaknesses that come with it

@@magicegg9503 He can fight in both Southpaw and Orthodox stances, he's constantly unpredictable and doesn't have a fighting pattern making him impossible to get a read on, can adapt on the fly and possesses KO power in both hands. NO ONE beats this guy. Can't prepare against someone like that, Crawford is a Chameleon in the ring, and what do Chameleons have in common? They are never the same colour, they change all the time.

Two great boxers and fighters, crawford is impressive, very fast. Spence is a great techinician. I expect crawford to start well against spence with spence taking over in the later rounds. Terence goes for the kill. Spence breaks guys down. It should be one hell of a fight when it happens.

Beautiful. Just Beautiful. His speed, punch selection and boxing IQ are absolutely absurd. I feel like pretty much any boxer who relies heavily or completely on their corner for strategy and adjustments has no hope against Crawford. Being able to adjust on the fly is an absolute necessity to even have a chance of beating him.

Just beautiful. I teach the same thing to my brother and my son and I honestly do not know why this is not taught more often. He understand the most important thing in all of boxing. It does not matter who you are. Every time you throw a good punch, even if it is a dummy, there is ALWAYS a gap there to recoil and throw the other attack. That space in time is much longer that the time it take to answer back. The dope thing is, once your body get's use to this, you no longer have to think about it. You body builds this into your equilibrium. You automatically know, I'm hit on the right side? Make him pay to the body or with an uppercut or whatever. This style does have a weakness but only when it is up against some version of itself. Out muscling you will not save them lol. I freaking love it.

I understand why so many have ducked him or won't just outright fight Crawford. It's because he is dangerous 😳 & a threat in either the South Paw or right-hand position. Teddy Atlas was right Crawford is a complete fighter with KO power in both hands & is intelligent in the ring with great footwork & movement. His use of angles is amazing to me. He punches at angles amazingly and his accuracy is second to none. Then he can take/ not afraid to take a punch. His defense head movement wise isn’t that exceptional but he knows how to keep his distance and that accuracy disrupts his opponents combos and confidence

But can he drop Crawford though? He hasn’t dropped anyone since 2018 I believe and ugas didn’t even go down once.. if it was Crawford vs ugas though... you do the math lol .. ugas would have been dropped knocked out night night before getting to the later rounds.. Spence gets tougher as the rounds go applying more pressure . But with that being said.. I say Crawford stuns him multiple times and Mayb even drop him before it even gets to the later rounds... the way Errol was lundging in with that looping left with ugas is definitely going to sleep him if he does that with Crawford.. bud is to slick and to clean for all that and will capitalize on Errol’s mistakes! Pshhhhhhhhh

@Anthony Tobias Agreed. Bud is too smart to let EJ unload those bombs on him. My only concern is that when Bud gets touched, he gets angry and will fire fight. He can't do that with EJ.

Been saying this all along. Way more skilled and powerful. I'd actually rather watch him fight boots and I don't think Ennis is ready for that yet .

@Ricky Damiron Agreed. EJ is no bum by far, but his fights are only entertaining if he is fighting an entertaining fighter, like the Shawn Porter fight, which I feel he lost. Bud is technical, but watching him work his game and make adjustments is entertaining.

Dude who tf pushes mean machine back like that 😂 Crawford a mean dude! I just can’t see Errol beating him.. Errol’s best offense is to pressure pressure pressure with body shots and non stop punches. But that seems to be Crawford’s favorite when his opponent’s come forward.. his footwork is beautiful and his punch selections.. I can see him timing Errol lundging in with a looping left and bam! Uppercut thru the middle and wobbly legs for Errol

Spence will do what he always does because what he always does wins fights. He will attempt to pressure Bud guaranteed because that's what he always does. Spence is very easy to read because he is a 3rd grade reader and he will do what he always does. Bud knows what he will do and what Spence always does will fail him against a guy like Bud. Bud will take 3 rounds, take his time and just wait on Spence to do what he always does and he boom counters, more boom, boom counters and Spence is down on the mat, why, because Spence will do what he always does.

Spence doesn't throw wild punches he cuts that ring off and makes fighters fight inside and once the do that it's the rap and it all starts with Spence's jab work from the start and he keeps throwing it until u have to get close to win on the cards and that's when he goes to work on that body ribs arms shoulders I break a fighter down to the point u have to fight his fight but Spence shown he can box from the outside as well ,bud nice so we can get this fight I like Spence

@@michaellundy4065 Spence will do what he always does. That's his greatest asset and his greatest problem. A very slick fighter like Bud can figure that out and out maneuver him in short order. Spence will find himself walking into fierce uppercut, Bud will bid his time for that shot and then it's all over.

The worst thing about getting stopped by Crawford is that it's never a flash knockout from one or two shots. After he hurts you and has you timed, he catches you clean and hard with almost every punch over the course of a round or two. I doubt you're ever the same after that kind of beating.
