I often overshoot the chicane in ride 4 in suzuka - glad that's the same for a pro in real life :D

And you can choose to start braking at the same braking point for turn 1 in Ride 4 as the pro did! It is about 150 and it really works! Also, you can learn how to properly do the Spoon Curve from the pro's ride, it pretty much works in the same way in Ride 4!

If you dont overshoot breaking in practice, it means you dont practice your breaking hard enough. ;-)

Thank you for your uploaded. I don't know about Johnny which riding or setting or both , but I see Johnny's riding like perfectly to approaching from 110R to hairpin out so I think.

It's only testing. As good as it feels, it doesn't mean much for the race, and I'm pretty sure Rea takes it easier on this one (you can see his body language...it ain't the fight with Toprak and Bautista)

I think Niccolo was a moto gp rider so doesn't seems too hard to believe he is able to overtake rea even in race

@@ElMattB 15 years ago maybe but he was a test rider whilst Rea was winning championships! Tito Rabat was a Moto GP rider for a lot longer... I dont recall him overtaking Rea...

Excellent vid 👍...The lower gearing (1,2,3,4) on the R1 seems long, gears 5 & 6 is super short? And in the chicanes and slow corners it seems as if the bike is struggling to accelerate due to the long gearing.

remember that lean angle alters tire circumference thus gearing.

not even close to stock more than likely. We have no idea what rea is testing, he's not necessarily aiming for pb's. Also youre watching two incredibly fast riders, Canepa might just be faster on the day you cant win them all. Remember Canepa was offered a motogp and moto2 seat, unlike Rea ;) (which isn't really a gamebreaker, just a cool fact)
