Concerning the hands when converting to Dino mode, I always rotate them 180° so that the thumb is on the outside. It gives me room to move it if it gets snagged, and makes it easier to position to the side of the hand so the compartment can fully close.

An absolutely stunning figure in both modes, I look forward to the full Volcanicus review. I suspect the Stegsarow figure has made the number 1 slot for most complicated transform sequence. I haven't seen you struggle this much with any other figure. Great review.

I’m loving these so far I think I’m most excited about the bronto and spino but all of them look amazing. Also there recolor of the predaking is gonna be amazing. The purple and green.

For those red hip skirts in dino mode, I had them unfolded and rotated 180 from the way you have them. I found there is a little slot on the inside of the hip panel there that you can plug the slot on the hip skirt into. For some reason it worked really well to help me get the orientation right for the back half of the dinosaur, and added a bit more stability and solidity to the back half.

Great video as always! Can't wait to see the rest of them from you. You're like an instruction manual that we never wanted, but needed. Your skits are Class A legendary! I give my props to you on those. And watching your video, I see that you had trouble with the legs of Stegs in robot mode. I made the same mistake as you until I realized what I was doing wrong. The figure comes in robot mode and fresh out the box, the legs are all secured in place. The trick is, the pieces that you rotate to tab back in under the back of the knee, that piece is supposed to remain disengaged. Once you have the entire foot locked in securely, you then have to re-engage that piece in to where the empty round ports are on the inside. At the 22:44 mark going from combined to robot mode, you untabbed to the two pieces that were connected to the dino leg, rotated and tabbed them in on the hallow gaps where the gold tabs are on the sides of the dino legs. Those are the pieces that I'm talking about. I think someone else can explain it better than I can. Yes, it's tricky, but if executed correctly, you can't go wrong..

Transformers meets Gundam, awesome look!

I was waiting for this video! And I have to agree, the transformation is not easy (du to poor instructions) but the result is great imo.

Got him over a month ago from ShowZ and figuring out how to transform him was tricky. I think I've only done it once back and forth. So glad to have a JTI for him finally. He's really cool, but the jumbo swords don't stay very well in his hands due to their weight. Really wish they'd use the rail system that MMC uses. Otherwise, he's really cool and I look forward to the rest of these guys.

God i am so hyped for the new Cang Toys combiner, loved their Predaking even thow i couldn't get it. Hey Emgo it would be fun to compare the equivalent Predaking to the next Dinobot, like the left arm with the left arm, just random thoughts and out of curiosity are the two combiners in any shape compatible? Like could you conect this leg on Predakind?

After time with mine I noticed that's there's a tab on the hip flaps and a slot on the inside of the leg when you rotat to dinomode

I've had this figure for a few weeks now: 1. The dino mode and combine mode kind of feel like "oh, right, we forgot he's not just a robot," at least in terms of transformation. 2. Many of Cang Toys figures have robot mode legs that transform in pretty much the same way; it wouldn't be hard for them to add little markings inside the legs telling us where to place which joint for each mode. 3. This TOY has drawn blood from me three times already, be carefull, especially with the back of the legs. 4. Too tight of joints that required disassembly and sanding some plastic (which I'd recommend doing if you're comfortable taking apart a multi-hundred dollar figure). 5. I'm probably just going to leave all the figures in this set in combine mode. Their Predaking set I can transform all day, this figure though I don't want to, maybe once in a while just as a refresher, but no more.

went to try to buy this figure while watiching this video and the price for it is vastly different depending on which site you go to. there also seems to be major color variants on this figure too. first on i found has all ready spikes/plates

You have the back legs miss transform. the dino back leg knee spikes are supposed to pop out like in combined mod, I guarantee that peg and tab will come together easily

Since you said there weren't any good videos about how to transform this figure: There's a guy, Golden Zhen, who does Transformers stuff too. He did a full transformation video on this toy 3 months ago. He seems to get access to some of these 3rd party figures a lot earlier, and could be a good reference for how to transform some of these more complicated figures. The only problem is his videos are in Chinese. But just like most of these 3rd party figure instructions, the video seems to be good enough. He did skip combine mode though.

Cang Toys has been making absolutely amazing figures I cannot remotely justify spending the money on 😅. Maybe one day I will have that kind of disposable income, but right now I need to pay for things like a dining table.
