Its so good to be back watching you, my husband had a stroke on april 30 . He was in the hospital for 2 weeks, then at a rehab hospital for another 2 weeks. He is doing so good, thank God. But I was so busy I lost touch and as I sit here on a Friday night and connect to your canning sessions again, I am starting to feel somewhat like life can be somewhat normal again. Thank you for all the tips and wonderful way you let us be part of your life, I have missed my utbe preppers. love to you all

I used ma made years ago but now I like to make it from scratch I love to stand and cut the peel into tiny strips it is very therapeutic now that my children are all up and married when they were young and I was working I used ma made because it was quick and now I like to teach my grandchildren how to do things the old fashioned way they really enjoy cooking with grandma.

Hi Heather, This is glorious. Orange Marmalade is one of my favorite!! And the Ma Made - which I have used in the past - is such a TIME SAVER!! Also, if you are up to it in the winter months when citrus is prolific - a great marmalade to make is a triple marmalade with grapefruit, orange, and lemon. Oh heavens!! Your house will smell amazing and the taste is just fantastic!! Thanks for sharing this!! So nice to see you canning!! Love, Mary

Making marmalade starting with fruit takes a long time because you have to make sure you don't get the white pith of the orange in your jam. Marmalade is awesome on a ham. I smear it all over the ham before I bake it. This stuff looks Great! I am going to try some. Thanks Heather!

Let me tell you, Mina's brother loves that screaming. My one and only daughter was born in late 73 and she was a screamer. Still is and her brother and any other male that came along loved it.. Saw them up close for a minute the other day and Mina is so pretty. And your boy is handsome. You and Matt have made some nice looking children.

Thank you, Heather...this was great! It was just beautiful seeing the jars come out of the canner backlit by your sunny window. They looked like jewels. With family changes, I'll be canning this in quarter-pints. If you ever do find the lemon it would be great to see too. Thank you for filming Matt's reaction...he always really gives such a good description of the taste and I understand completely why it is that his opinion is the most important to you.

If you haven’t made apple butter you should give it a whirl!!! It makes your house smell like Christmas (perfect for fall). I never heard of the stuff til a friend requested it. It is amazing. All I can say is apple butter where have you been all my life. Both Noreen and Linda have videos on it. It’s quite a long process but well worth it in the end.
