We're Chesca and Ben and River (🐶 ) and we usually live full-time in our self converted sprinter van, Sophia. After a year of travelling Europe, from Spain and Portugal to the island of Sicily, the pandemic brought us back home to the UK. Along with a secret project! We spent the winter re-building Sophia into a more sturdy overlanding rig, ready to take us across Africa - our next challenge. However, it's a trip we've now had to postpone. But when the wind changes - adjust your sails! We're now off on an Eastern voyage across to Greece, Turkey & beyond. I hope you enjoy this new adventure as we overland our way East.

Wondeful footage of winter landscapes. I like watching your adventures across my "beautiful and lonely country." I hope lots of Europeans and Americans will watch this video and understand that Türkiye is not "a desert country with eternal summer", where people ride camels and speak a deeply guttural language. That vermicelli soup would taste so good especially during a cold day, perfect comfort food! Turkish soup or traditional dishes in general are so underrated, personally i like them way way more than Turkish street food. And the land of beautiful horses, i've never visited Cappadocia but it always makes me feel nostalgic which isn't so weird because the oldest human settlements are also in Turkey not far from there. Also it was even more magical with snow cover, thank you very much guys for this amazing video😍😍

This was just so amazing, I am sitting here in tears. My dear mum who passed away last year, and I, went Hot Air Ballooning in Australia in 2008. This is the first time I have seen footage of Balloons since. I didn't expect this and am so grateful for your expertise in filming and the beautifully emotive scenes you shot. Honestly the best most chokka week of Turkey so far!! It has been an absolute dream to experience the magic of Cappadocia with you guys. For once on both our trips the weather lined up perfectly to give us everything we could hope for. A beautiful drive and feeling like we had entered Narnia, it was truly magical 🥰❄️

I don't know why but when it came to the balloons going up and seeing them against that Winter Wonderland, it brought tears to my eyes....so lovely and picturesque. Dear Chesca and Ben, Anatolia is a plateau and its average height is 1000 meters. The winter seasons are cold and there is a large temperature differences between day and night. Türkiye, dünyada en çok turistin ziyaret ettiği 10 ülkeden birisi. Kimi zaman 6 kimi zaman 7. sırada. Bir gün dünyanın en çok ziyaret edilen ülkesi olursak bu İsmail Bey gibi yardımsever ve Türk misafirperverliğinin hakkını veren insanlar sayesinde olacak. Thank you for this information Ersel! In our opinion, Cappadocia must be the most beautiful in the winter snow. Especially with the golden sunrise over the snow capped peaks... it was magical. It's so beautiful isn't it! Thought it might be over-hyped but I don't think its possible to do justice to the place until you see it 🤩 Cant remember the specific name of the vet but it was one in Panorama near Thessaloniki. Give your Turkish rescue a belly rub from us 🐾 💕

Ahh the Austin Powers reference got me - every time! Incredible footage of the balloons. They are so still and serene seemingly just levitating above the town. How do the dogs like them? Ivy is absolutely terrified of anything in the sky!

Hello, glad your still enjoying Turkey, missed a few weeks, but loved the bit with the speeded up the hot air balloons, god you got it colder than we do, did know it got very cold as my mate lived out that way before he went to Istanbul, he always said it was cold which for him where he lived it was what we called 2 coats thick or colder up where he lived on the Pennines. We live in the valleys. Well glad River and Scout still getting on we still have Sir Barkalot our guard dog,well my guard dog who protects Linda more than myself. It's so interesting to see you in winter weather, I really thought you traveled in the south to avoid really cold weather, boy was I wrong. 😂 Also the drone shots are fantastical! Hey guys, what an amazing opening scene ❤️, 😂😂 scout has eaten the mic 😂.. I’m always up for an 11 hour road trip! 😂 the poo 💩 park up lunch 🥗.. / I have no balance for sliding about on a frozen lake but looked so funny! And the two way radios are nice for a bit of a chat on the way. The morning snow ❄️ looks so beautiful.. gotta love the snow!.. what amazing hospitality from the taxi 🚕 guy.. 👌👍 and did you use google translate? What a view from the cooking class. And the cooking looked like so much fun! .. 🙏 -9 🥶, the view of the balloons, melts my heart! Such stunning photography ✊❤️❤️. I’ve made pottery before and it’s funny if it goes wonky and falls off and it’s quite impressive to see done. Everyone did so well! Four legs are better than two going down 😂😂😂 through the rock formations! 🥶 view of the balloons 🎈 ❤️🙏.. thanks for this video, it cheered me up so much after the bad week I’ve had 😎😢👍

Great to see some snow videos for a change. All van life channels focus on beach and water, so your content is a refreshing change. You should venture out to Sagallasos or Hattusas, too. Great place in winter and snow.
