When was the last time you watched Captain America The Winter Soldier (2014)? The second film in the Cap franchise might be the most loved movie of the Captain America trilogy, but what did you think? There are so many hidden references to future MCU movies, Phase 2 and 3! Captain America aka Steve Rogers is reeling from waking up in the 21st Century, but is teaming up with SHIELD, Nick Fury, Black Widow, Sam Wilson Aka Falcon, Brock Rumlow aka Crossobones, and more to save the world/America. But when Cap witnesses the assassination of Nick Fury and realizes HYDRA has been hiding within SHIELD, Cap and Black Widow go undercover to find out the truth.
After meeting with Armin Zola, Steve realizes that the Winter Soldier is actually Bucky Barnes, his life long friend who he thought had died during World War 2. Will Steve and his team be able to stop HYDRA, Project Insight, Alexander Pierce, and Crossbones? Yes, he can. Cause we’ve all probably seen this movie. Winter Soldier was great forany reasons but mostly for me it was because each character was interesting in their own way. Sam Was great to watch in every scene and Widow really complements the narrative. 9.5/10

At the end of the movie, when Fury is going through his belongings, you can see a work permit for Thailand. Either Fury had an teaching gig in Thailand before, or had gone undercover previously.

Anthony Mackie once said in an interview (I believe it was with Jon Stewart) that in one scene, he glanced up into a tree as a nod to Falcon being able to communicate with birds.

So close! You mentioned Tony Stark built the carriers in the comics but there's that line in the movie: "...when he got a close up look at the engines," referring to Tony getting caught in the helicarrier's engine in The Avengers.

Yeah i hope McHale(Jeff), Alison Brie (Annie) or Gilian Jacobs (Britta) will appear in Infinity War (Or any other Community actor, but those are the ones that i would enjoy the most) In the mcu we already had Danny Pudi (Abed) in this movie, Jim Rash (Dean Pelton) in Civil War and not a Russo movie but Donald Glover (Troy) was the Prowler in Homecoming

More fun facts: Nick Fury's secret hideout was filmed at a dam in Cleveland's Lake view cemetery, and also the secret bunker Cap and Widow went to was really the Ravenna Arsenal (south of Cleveland) which funny enough has a whole secretive nature about it - tons of conspiracy theories.

Yeah, Civil War came close, IW will be great in a whole different kind of way, same with the sequel next year. But Winter Soldier is 'that good' it stands up on its own as a brilliant film. It isn't perfect, but it's not far from perfect, frankly.

Secret Invasion begins in this movie. Fury finds out S.H.I.E.L.D. has been infiltrated by rogue Skrulls. He then digs deeper, and during this, he learns that they've also been infiltrated by HYDRA. One scene that gives a clue is when he tries to access some files only to find that they've been encrypted by Fury, Nicholas J. That scene doesn't belong in the HYDRA narrative.
